Help! Did anyone ever arrive a day/night early?

This applies primarily for those who drive and make such good time that they arrive the night before their original reservation.

How flexibile is WDW in finding you a single night accomodation before your actual reservation? The reason we ask is that we may find ourselves in such a situation in the not-too-distant future.

Just be sure to have the CRO number handy and call before they close at 10pm. Be sure to let them know you have a ressie starting the next day. For one night I'd stay at a value. Otherwise I'd have the AAA book in the car and have 3 nearby to call. I'd also pack a bag that has just the stuff you need for the overnight, that way you don't have to unload (unless you feel safer doing so) for one night.

Drive safely!

We did twice. that's when we found out we could drive straight through without an overnight stay.
We arrived a day early and added a day at the end of each trip. It was expensive. they charged the highest rates. About $170 a night for the Moderates at that time (3-4 years ago)
We had no problem getting our stay extended. In fact there were 2 other families in line adding days to their trips.
As long as the resort isn't full, they can accomadate you.

We arrived at 12:30 am one year and 2am the next year. We had no problems. I did need to reregister for our package after 6am the next day though since it was a different reservation for the single nights.

Thanks, "septbaby" for your excellent suggestions!

I got there around 7-8 in the morning, we left like at 3 or 4AM and always had a room ready for me. Every Year

Thanks, Kelly! We've added days at the end of our original reservations but have never added on an earlier day because of my aforementioned question.

Thanks, Disney Princess1025 for your reply. We're not too concerned about arriving early on the same day: it's the night before! But once we're there, well, we're there!
