Arrival Night - Ohana or Star Wars Dessert Party?

We will be arriving mid-morning for our Disney trip, staying at the Poly. I had planned to spend the day hanging out at the resort and ending with dinner at Ohana. But now I am finding that this is one of the only days I can get a reservation for the Star Wars dessert party and my son is a huge Star Wars fan. The other days it seems to be available, we already have plans - fireworks cruise, AK Jungle Book dinner package. The only other option would be our "day off" at Disney Springs. I am stressing trying to figure this out!
