Way ahead of myself but need to visualize things to help me solidify plans for our October trip. We plan to do 4 days disney and 2 universal. This does not include arrival/departure days which I am undecided. As we don't know exact dates for Halloween parties things can change due to that as well.

But...

We are thinking of arriving Saturday and heading straight to a universal resort for a two night stay.

Sunday we will do Suess landing in am and universal studios rest of day.
Monday we will do Harry potter in am and rest of park remainder of day.

So our question is what should we do on arrival day? Anything in city walk worthwhile? A swim day and playground at resort?

My children will be early three and seven when we go. We get up early and they are in bed by 8pm. I can keep the, up later if something very special, but will only do that 1-2 nights on vacation.

Thoughts?

Sunday will probably be a HHN night so the studios park will close early. It's not like the Disney parties where you can stay in the park till the hard ticket event starts.

Universal Studios closes at 5pm on HHN days.

They clear the park of guests not staying for the event so they can get the park ready.

IOA usually stays open till about 7 I think at that time.

If you are staying onsite that might be a great day to enjoy the pools. Maybe you could plan a character meal and do a bit of pool hopping if your kids are energetic. Or you could have an early meal at Citywalk and maybe see a movie if your youngest is ready for that.

We saw one family playing mini-golf when we played. The littlest kid didn't play but was assigned the job of retrieving the balls.

Okay...

So sounds like I should do IOA on party night and US on the other...

What are the Universal character meals? I'll go research...thx!
