ARRGGGHHHH!! Stop the insanity!! Someone get me a bird chastity belt! Update #42!

Oh NO..No No NO HAY-ELL NO!

You remember the parakeet I talked about earlier in this thread? The one where there is some banjo pickin' going on in the background as she gets jiggy with baby bird from 2 yrs ago?

2 eggs today in one of the food cups. :sad2: And she is sitting on them and won't get off. :sad2: Now what? Can it get worse?

Oh YEAH. It can get worse.

Tweezer - that little birdy tramp. Has. Three. Eggs. She went from one egg the other day when I started this thread and should only be on 2 eggs now. Oh no, not this little feathered overacheiver with the sex drive of a bottle of viagra. SHE'S got THREE eggs now.

Here we were thinking we were going to see 2 eggs in there. Piper, who is not egg sitter extraordinaire, was in the box. Now Piper is known for being so shallow and conceited, that if you come near the cage, he's got to be there to find out exactly how much of a pretty bird he is that day. So when it is Daddio's turn to sit on eggo junior, he bails out at the first site of me or Matthew coming around. I swear one of these days Tweezer is going to put the smack down on him when he does that. She gives him the little cockatiel stink eye, shakes her head, sighs and goes into the nesting box muttering something about sending a chicken in to do a eagles work or something.

SO.. now what? If this keeps up I will be able to apply to the state of Virginia to become a bird sanctuary. Wonder if you can do that if all the birds in your house are technically not native.. they are native of Australia.

Any day now Steve Irwin is going to break down our front door, rush into the bedroom yelling Crickey! Will you look at the wingspan on that Cinnamon 'tiel! Isn't she a beeutay? Let's reach into the nesting box and see how many eggs this Sheila has. CRICKEY! She's got my finger! CRICKEY you have to be careful because they can strike that quick, and if you are within range, BAM, your cuticle is dead! It's WHACK!

OMG!!!!! I saw the words "Steve Irwin" and "Crikey!" and I was gone!!!!

:lmao:

I actually had tears :rotfl2:

I haven't laughed that hard at an OP in a LONG time! I love birds but that sounds like a handful!

Hey Preshi! Good to see you! Haven't seen you around in a while! Hope things are going well for you :)

Hey, Moderators, I think you should take notice here. I'm tired of all this lust and reproduction talk (after all, this is a family board.) I think that this thread must definitely be moved.....................................................to the "funniest stories on the DIS" thread! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You are right. I feel that as a moderator I have no choice but to report myself. I sadden myself with my behavior. I can only hope that I can learn to behave in such a way that I never again have to repremand myself for fear of banning myself. Because, well.. that would be weird

Oy.. Tweezer the tramp now has 4 eggs. And how ironic, the last couple will be hatching right around Easter.. fits since this bird is reproducing like a rabbit.

What are you going to do with all the birds if the eggs hatch? You are going to run out of room where to put them.

All I can picture in your house are all these birds chirping away like they do outside very early in the morning.

I've got to start finding homes. Supposedly PeeWee is going with one of my employees but I'm waiting for her to get back from going out of state to take some medical exam (she's studying to be a doctor)

I need to stop naming them because once I name them, I want to keep them.

Either that or start naming them with names like "Feathers and seed in the carpet to vacuum daily" or "$20 a week in millet and sunflower seeds" to remind me of the bad side..lol

That's too funny!

I would like to see some pictures of these birds. Do you have any good ones?
