Ariel and Eeyore's Pre Trip Dining -WE'RE HERE!!-Mini update #3

Welcome Aboard! We are "Ariel" (19 year old Jonas fanatic) and me, her mom, "Eeyore." Our pre-trip report is up and running on the Trip Report board. You'll find us at the oh-so-clever title of POP-ping Our Way to a Fab 4th.
We love the DDP, but we have discovered that the heat of summer makes us not so hungry. Well, and the fact that all my money is going to my younger DD's trip to Europe. So, no DDP this time. We are trying to stay within a budget but still enjoy some good dining, too.

We arrive July 2 and will check in to Pop Century for the next five nights. Our last three nights will be at Old Key West. So, here are the dining plans:

July 2nd : Dinner- Captain Cook's
July 3rd: Dinner- The Plaza Restaurant
July 4th: Lunch- Beaches and Cream or ESPN Club
July 5th: Lunch- House of Blues and Dinner- Sweet Tomatoes
July 6th: Lunch- Sci-Fi and Dinner- Giadorno's
July 7th: Lunch- Kona and Dinner- Earl of Sandwich
July 8th: Lunch- Chefs de France
July 9th: Lunch- Raglan Road
July 10th: Breakfast- Olivia's

We plan on squeezing in Boston Lobster Feast at some point. Breakfasts will be in the room, and the dinner for most days will be a counter service in the parks. Regardless of being on a budget, we have found that the heat of the summer keeps us from wanting too many meals in a day. We'll be indulging in snacks, too, of course. Who can resist a Dole Whip float or two in July?

We're celebrating DD's 20th birthday, so who knows what surprises or changes may be in store! We will have the laptop with us, so there will be live updates from time to time. Thanks for joining us!

July 3: We are here!

Briefly updating before heading to MK for the evening!

Dinner last night was Columbia Harbour House. It was just as good as usual! The special treat for the night was the Fireworks Dessert Party. I booked it two days before we left as a surprise for my DD's birthday. Those of you that are concerned about the desserts not staying cool don't have to worry. Everything was delicious and fresh. The Nightastic fireworks are super cool. Tonight's meal is The Plaza.

We'll be updating through the trip, but will post a full review with pictures when we return.

Have a great time! Here in NJ it's going into the high 90's this week - Orlando looks to be in the 80's. Wish I was there! Hope it's like that in 2 weeks....
