Leave Haunted Mansion games right before they loose.

I just tried to play a game where it started out 4 on 4. Right before the girl started the game, she botted her whole team. Only one player from our team was fast enough to get out before the game started. My team proceeded to beat her soundly in the first round and we were winning the second with 15 seconds left when she said "bye" and quit!

Grrrr!!!!!

Pfft.. they don't even say bye to me, they just up and leave! Now not to brag, but i usually win Haunted Mansion (unless i'm doing a quest and I just say that i'll let them win and I just need the ghosts) when I play, and it's pretty bad when I notice I'm winning and have to beg the other team to not leave lol.. I'm not too proud to beg i guess lol

i know exactly what you mean! it really really REALLY irritates me when people do that! that has actually happened to me a couple times while playing haunted today!! like okay if your losing just stay in the game for the credits! but when players leave like that it's really annoying!
i feel you on this one!

You know, I should do that next time! LOL. Anyways, it irks me too. Not that I win most of the times Besides, how do they get better by doing that?

It is really bad when people are playing and leave in the middle of a round. My computer is slow, and has kicked me back to the lobby between rounds, which I know isn't fun for otheres if I'm the only person on a team, but that isn't my fault. I could understand if that happens to the person I'm playing against. Leaving in the middle of a round is not fair to the other team and maybe there should be something that happens for deliberately exiting a game like that. Like if VMK could have it that deliberately exiting 10-15 games of Haunted Mansion could first give a warning, then maybe a ban on that player playing Haunted Mansion for a day or something.

Just an idea from someone who gets annoyed at loosing the other team on those occasions I manage not to end up in the lobby again. Just to know that there is a consequence for people who deliberately quit just because they aren't winning.

Well I think not getting any credits is punishment enough... whenever people leave or dc, I just keep going because I want those credits! The extra 40 credits from winning are just a drop in the bucket.

A girl left from a 3 on 1 game where she was the one? That's just silly on her part. Depending on how good you three were, and how good she was, you could easily make 500+ credits from a game like that. You probably won't win, but you'll make way more than any of the ppl on the other side would.

They could make mansion pay to play, but I wouldn't enjoy that Would much rather take my chances with people leaving --- we all seem to dc every other game anyways!

I think actually VMK has realized this is such a huge pain.. in a recent game of Mansion, the other guy left, but i still got my 5 credits per ghost.. the unfortunate thing thouhg, i got no crate or winning bonus

Very true. Maybe the people don't actually mean to leave, they just get DC? Except for the girl that said 'bye' then left, now that's really lame!

yes, i hate it when they leave! i don't even think i'm that good of a player! i mean, is around 20 ghosts each round that good? i don't think it is, because i've seen many people get higher than that! also, did you know that if the other player leaves and you're on a quest, you don't pass the task??? it frustrated me because i had about 30 ghosts in 2 rounds, and i only needed 15, but the girl left at the begining of the second round!

One of the most annoying things is the people who quit if they are losing- and I have been victim to the "oh I quit" people before.

But I also know that the DC monster gets a few- and also at time mansion is just really buggie and you freeze alot. DH and I were playing against each other last week for one of the quests and he was moving so slowly that I had caught several ghosts before he came into the room to play...

This drives me crazy! I only play HM when I have to for a quest and so many times the other player(s) have just up and quit on me. I know that sometimes it is DC but several times the other player actually said "good luck" just before leaving. I felt "set up" by them. It's so not fair that the game will not count for a win or quest. VMK should consider a player leaving as a forfiet, so the other player wins!

Just another reason I try to stick with the Fireworks game.....

Capt. you always have gotten your credits for ghost captured just not the bonus for winning the game if the other team leaves.


Sad thing is that VMK tried to fix this problem in the "New" pirates game two ways...and People still do it

1. Charging to play

2. Giving credits even if you lose...I have made up to 200 credits losing a game of pirates...it does not make any sense what so ever to quit a pirate game when you can earn that kind of credit...with ghosts it is the same you still get you 5 credits per ghost caught so that can really add up if you are good.


All that said in pirates I have, a few times, gotten so mad when I am on the Royal Team and the Team orginator has started the game before giving teammates time to chose a ship and have quit,not often, but I have done it. I told them why I was quitting though and then left the game. I admit I have not done this but a couple of times and it was a gut reaction to having had this done to me too many times on that given day.

Why because I feel you should give everyone the opportunity( Royal or Pirate)to chose a ship they like...I also do not like booting players and will not boot unless I have informed them as to why and it has to be a good reason(playing with a friend or playing with someone who's computer can not handle a full load of players).

I also told a player off yesterday for quitting pirates when his team was losing and found him on our dock when we came out of the game a few seconds later. The game had gone 3 rounds he lost a good amount of credits for doing that.

Ok my rant over so yes schnerk I totally understand where you are coming from.

This has happened to me, I'm great at mansion but I hate the game in reality. I play it a couple of times either for quest or credits. I was playing a 1 on 1 game and when the score was about 1 to 6 (me being the 6) the girl I was playing the game either left or got dc. Then I got dc

i honestly dont think people should be allowed to leave with such little time left. sometimes ppl are such poor losers, they dont want ANYONE to get any money. it's not right.

I guess people really want those blue crates.

Mansion can be A LOT of fun when everyone is into it and it's a close game. running up and down stairs, skirting right past ghosts to avoid turning into one. too bad you can't capture the ghosts at the end when the portal doors open.

Credits aside, 4-on-4 Mansion or Pirates is A LOT of fun!

I really hate it when people quit mansion or pirates, especially if they do it after the first round.

The other thing I hate is when people start the game and then whine that they need to win because they are on a quest. Please, let people know you want them to throw the game BEFORE you start it. Being the itchy person I am the past couple of weeks, I mercilessly bombed the heck out of those people in pirates because I was also doing the quest. Normally I might help the other person but I've been so ill the past couple of weeks that I just couldn't spare the time to help others very often. If you ask first, I am almost always available to throw a game of pirates or mansion to help you win.

I was trying to get 45 ghosts for a quest today, and that used to be impossible for me, but now it is an easy 3-rounds-of-15 ghosts game, but i feel like I have to manipulate people to get them to stay the three round if they lose even one round they just leave! I have to beg, tell them I'm on a quest, explain why three rounds...I'd rather just play and get my 45 in a fair way by playing three rounds and letting them win the second round! But I tried today and had to play 10 games before someone would stay through to the 3rd round with me! I couldn't believe it!!!

I haven't had anyone say "bye" in HM.. but have had them "leave" many times (3 this morning alone while doing quest). Yesterday HM wasn't giving me credit for my total count being over quest requirement. Today it took a dozen game to go three rounds like someone else mentioned.

In Pirates we had a 2 on 2 LV 3 and one guy sez "i'm leaving" just as game ends and his teamate is blasted... then I D/C! I've finished 2 out of 12 lv 3 games because of getting d/c or people leaving. Today I was booted for no reason other than the starter didn't like the fact I creamed him in the previous game (I guess). He wouldn't talk to me. Sore losers stink!
