Are You Wearing A Costume To MNSSHP?

Dh & I are not dressing up but we are getting Halloween t-shirts. Actually, I got mine today at Old Navy. I'll have to look at Target for one for DH or just buy one there. As for DS, I'm not sure what we're going to do. He sweats like crazy as it is and I would hate him to be miserable in a costume. DH and I have thought about getting him some Halloween accessories to wear with his Halloween t-shirt. Not a real costume, but somewhat dressed up??? Everything I've looked at is just so thick and hot and it's supposed to be in the 90's this Friday for MNSSHP.

you might look at do the scrub for DH ?

Are you staying a SOG?

I'm going to dress up in scrubs when we go on 10/24. I'll be wearing a Disney halloween scrub top & black scrub pants (both purchased on eBay)...complete with a stethoscope, pen light, a black writing pen that looks like a syringe and, of course, my Crocs! This way, I can be comfy when I walk around the park if the weather is on the warm side. DH won't be dressing up (not even in a hospital gown to complete my theme...imagine that! ...that's good for the other park guests, though )

I love that idea. Maybe your DH would wear an arm sling or a gauze bandage around his head or tie an ice bag on his head and get him a big thermometer to put in his mouth!!

We will be there on the 24th too. It will be DH, our college aged DD, and me. All of us are dressing up as lifeguards. DD nixed the idea of the Flintstones! Darn!!!!

Mom and Dad are thinking its gonna be too hot to wear an adult costume...unless someone tells us one where we can wear shorts and a t-shirt....mom and dad will be party poopers.

Tacky tourists?? Get some real loud shirts, big sunglasses, maps & (fake) camera..

our group of 10 age ranges 2-62 are mostly going as pirates (origional i know) but DS age 8 wil be jack skellington and DD age 4 is going to be a little black cat. cant wait!!! its been great fun getting all the cute pirate accessories my stripey long fingerless gloves are FAB!

MNSSHP.....26th oct!!!!!

Kids are but we have decided not to, but may wear a halloween shirt and something on my head.

I am going as a fairy (wings and all) dd9 is going as cinderella. The whole point is to have fun so dress up and have a great time!!! :joker:

DS (13) and I are going and we're both dressing up. He's going to be Captain Jack Sparrow and I'm going to be Cruella DeVille. We've been collecting things for our costumes from Goodwill and altering them if need be. The costumes are looking pretty good so far!!

DS4 is going to be Jack Sparrow. Got DS1 the old pirate shirt from Gymboree off ebay and some red shorts (infant pirates costumes were so ugly).

I put together a great pirate costume w/ some brown crop pants and a cream gauzy summer shirt both found on the clearance racks. My friend made a great vest for me and a got a pirate bandana at Party City. For DH we bought a more expensive outfit (pirate). 1 hoop earing. They had some skull rings for .50 at Party City too.

Party City is a great place to find little accessories. They have tons of stuff out right now in the costume section.

I'm going with out make-up, I think that should scary most young children-lol. Seriously, with the new airline restrictions on liquids, I am just going to carry a small case on board (only going for 4 days) and thus, I guess my make-up will stay at home. :rotfl2:

My boyfriend will be going as a pirate, and I am putting together a Little Red Riding Hood costume... It's going to be our first MNSSHP!!!!! :woohoo:

No costumes here, but I followed the directions for Mickey head tie dye shirts and made one for all 4 of us! I did them in Halloween colors: orange, green and purple, plus black for the mickey heads. (The purple bled a little in the wash, and all of the white parts are kind of dingy lavender, but oh well, it was too much work to do over.)

No costumes, but we did get Halloween tee shirts. We're going to our first party on Friday - can't wait!

I will be for sure next year. Not sure what yet as some of my ideas would be too hot for Florida. Hoping Steve will dress up too.

That's what we're doing. I went to the end of summer sales and got DH a bright yellow shirt covered with pina coladas and a pair of crazy patchwork shorts. I'll be wearing a purple mumu with lots of tacky jewelry and gold flip flops. We're thinking cheap cruise chic.

DH did this in 2003. He wore a really loud Hawaiin shirt, socks with sandals and found a huge old camera at the thrift store.

I have also seen this with a gob of white sun screen on just your nose, and a straw hat. You could laminate a map and use a clip to put it on a belt loop. For an added chuckle, you could duck tape some trailing t.p. to your feet. (Ok, maybe I'm making a nerdy tourist!)

I hope everyone post pictures. We have also due to suggestion here to put the DGrS's in incredible PJ's with mask as costumes on one of the nights because of the Heat. DH,DS and DSinL said they would wear scrubs or tacky tourest out fit. :thumbsup2 I would love it if I could get all of us to dress up like the medevil fair group, as we love Renaissance Fairs and could possible us the outfits later. Oh well I am happy they agreed at all. :rotfl:

My twin 3 y.o. DD's are going to be "princess witches", which to them is a pretty witch. My 7 y.o. DS is going as the headless horseman.

I'm Minnie (won't be many of those, do ya think?). My husband will be Clueless, and my parents are going to be Grumpy and Cranky.

Can you tell the three members of my party that are being forced to go? :)

I'm going as a fancy version of Captain Jack Sparrow. (Female version! hehe) Attendin MNSSHP 10/31, couldnt resist the pirate theme!! pirate:
