Are you finding the Leappads yet?

I keep checking on-line and not having any luck...yet the number available on Amazon from third party sellers keeps growing. Am I just missing them?

I noticed the third party sellers were growing in numbers also. I am thinking folks who bought early are thinking they can make a profit then buy another after Christmas.

I am so glad I ordered one for my son before Thanksgiving. My neighbor is kicking herself because she let her husband talk her into waiting until after Black Friday, because he thought she could get a better deal.

Yesterday I walked into Meijers and they had 2 green ones! I bought one for a friend who had been searching since Thanksgiving =)

None to be found that I have seen. I have had a raincheck with Walmart since 11/29. They said it would be highly unlikely I would get one before Christmas. There were at least 50 people ahead of me with rainchecks.

So, I went with the VTech Innotab. Those are very hard to find too so I am glad I got it when I did. I almost didn't get it and picked it up just in case. After reading reviews, I actually like this one better.

I would keep calling all the stores and find out when their shipments come in. (That's how in laws got the Wii when it first came out.) I was at best buy yesterday picking up something I ordered online and a lady picked up a leap pad they had on hold for her. So maybe some stores will hold if it you call but if not at least you will know what day they will get them in so you can be in line bright and early.

if you have a target near you this is what i did

check at night on the website it will tell you out of stock at "location." i get up early (5am) so i would check on my phone and it will tell you if it still says out of stock they didnt get any in on the truck that night........ the day i got mine the purple one showed limited and the green just showed in stock. my dad ran up for me and they got 4 in -i have a green one right now. they are getting trucks in all the time now. look every morning if they show any in get there before they open(my dad was the 2nd person in line the girl in front grabbed both of the purple ones and my dad and the guy behind him cleaned out the other two they had) also keep checking leapfrog they had a bundle in stock the other day when i ordered the case(yes they have them in right now also) hth

As PP said, leapfrog has bundles for $150. That might be your best bet. Good luck.

I'm signed up with one of the tracking sites and up until last weekend I could have bought at least one green and one pink almost every night sometime between 2-4am on amazon. Of course I wasn't needing one then. Now I have 2 friends that want me to help them get one and not a single one has been available through the tracking sites for almost a week now. I get a text every so often, lately it's been walmart, but they are sold out as soon as I log on. I work from home so we're talking a matter of seconds between the text and me going to the website. I think now the suggestions of tracking them down in the stores is going to be everyone's best chance.

I didn't know these we such a hot toy this year. I just looked out of curiosity and none of the stores in our area has any in stock.

I hope all the people bought these thinking they can resell them to make a quick buck are stuck with their merchandise. Just out of principle I would not buy from a 3rd party seller. It is ridiclous that this is where shopping is going. Not only is the merchandise over priced originally, but now because of the internet it is being held hostage for additional profit. Sorry but this just really strikes a nerve with me. Ok vent over.

Just scored the last 2 I needed for friends off Amazon by using the tracking site. So hopefully more will show up for others soon! Now just to hope they actually ship!

I was trying to get for Toys for Tots and was finally able to using the tracking sites. One tip for Amazon, be sure you have your one click ordering turned on. Also, keep trying if you get "out of stock" once the tracker goes off. It takes a bunch of clicks before it will actually go through some times. Good Luck!

I used one of the tracking sites. Just left a window open while I am online. It was for my niece from my mother so I wasn't going to kill myself fighting for one, but figured.....I'm online at the time anyway so......... I like the challenge.

One evening last week around 8pm Etoys had them in stock, in pink. I hurried over and ordered one. The transaction went through and immediately showed as "back ordered". The next day it was "locating item in stock" and later that night was updated to "item located". The following day it was shipped out. My sister received it on Wednesday.

The key is you have to jump on it right away. I didn't even think about gift wrap, messages or even batteries for it......it was just BUY BUY BUY!!!!! Oh well.......my sister has the important part now. She'll have to pick up the rest herself.

That's the same site I've used and I was able to pick up 2 green ones today. I could have added on a pink one as well, but I only needed the green.

I finally got mine today using the notification site. I got lucky that I happened to be sitting at the computer with the amazon one click shopping on. During the day you literally need to react immediately and then cross your fingers. It looks like the items are online a little longer in the wee hours of the morning. I brought my laptop to bed all week but sleep through the notifications Walmart has been selling as bundles online and those look to last a minute or two longer online. Also- check kmart because they have been selling with only the store pick up option. If you are lucky, they might have one in your area. Good luck- it is definitely doable but you need to work for it!
