I've never said or done anything bad enough that could justify being banned, but it sure looks like someone is feeling a bit guilty. huh?

Twice. Once when a now-banned poster came down on a woman here for having a child for reasons he thought immoral. He was such a bigot, as he targeted Jews as well as single mothers (some other groups, too, I believe). A lot of people came down hard on him, and I prefaced my statements with "If I get banned so be it" (or something like that), but I never was. I'm sure the mods were as sickened by his comments as were the rest of us.

I also went back to one of my posts and edited what I had said one time. I posted a word that had previously gotten someone banned here, but in a different context--I just didn't want to take a chance that I'd get axed, too.

There was a poster on another Disney board that would do this. He was a college student and my DH had our advatar as a Mickey with U of M since he went there. Well this guy went to Ohio state and found it nessasry to rip on U of M (like I care.) but he would send drunkin PM's to me with lanuage. I did not appericate it. I forwarded it to the mod. I only found out later that he did the same thing to a number of other members. He was banned, again and again and again. He wasn't so bad if he didn't talk sports, but he had a short fuse and just couldn't stay away.


Don't drink and post people! The outcome is not pretty!

Well no, not worry exactly.

They warn you first by PM, more than one time in most cases. They will ock threads if they are OT or out of hand (no such thing as OT here on the CB). They will edit or delete naughty words with no warning if they seem like a slip up. If you use a potty mouth a lot they might ban you for it.

So I don't worry much. Except when the whole Trip Report thing was going down. A bunch of us worried but no one got banned. We just got put in time0out. Oh yeah, I forgot about that choice, mods may put you in time out, a temporary ban, they let you know that by PM too.

Not that I know all this first hand or anything...

What about people that come on the DIS and actually lie about certain things...like the other night a fellow signed on and asked about going to Disney with his 18yo friend and that he was 17yo and a JUNIOR in COLLEGE. After 2 pages of replies about people telling whether or not they think he should go to WDW at that age with an 18yo of the opposite sex, I THEN asked HOW did you get to be a JUNIOR in COllEGE and you are 17yo?????

NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AFTER THAT AND AS A MATTER OF FACT I CANNOT EVEN FIND HIS THREAD!!!!! Hhmmmm!!!

And what about Eric the fellow that got banned from WDW with his SO the NYC Police Officer. So many DISer's felt so bad for him as did I and so many offering support for what happened to him and his SO and he is no where to be found except after so many felt bad for WDW banning him (as he told all of us) I noticed a reply to a post that he and his SO were going to be going in OCTOBER 2006???? I was confused about that one, he was asking about a "renewal of a ticket/pass??"

LOL. I can just see that happening and in the morning you would come back on here and not remember a thing. How wierd would that be to read something you written and not remember it.

And when I see you post, for some reason I read part of your first name like the Millionaire's wife on Gilligan's Island,

Loveee instead of Lovemygoofy. I don't know why I do that. I speed read, and sometimes I will read a word different than what is actually written. (Like you really wanted to know this).

I've sort of worried, but have never attacked anyone or used bad language...so not really. I started w/ the cruise boards, and tons of people get banned over there...they used to be darn nasty...I haven't visited in awhile, don't know if it has changed.

A few weeks ago I posted on a thread and when I went back, my post was completely deleted. I didn't get a PM about it and I don't know why it was gone, but it was. I thought that was strange. I guess that's the closest I've been. BUT, since that happened, I am a little on edge and afraid to post sometimes on certain topics.
