My girls are watching Scream Machines on TLC and they were talking about "Acers" , people who ride & rate coasters.

My 10yo DD says she wants to do that  , the 8yo chimes in and says me too. of course the fact that she thinks Big Thunder Mountain is the ultimate coaster and won't get on Rock & Roller coaster or any of the big ones at Six Flags might hold her back some.

Anyone besides Barry working toward this goal?

Not sure I'm an Acer, but if I had the $$$, I'd do the Barry Hom-thing alot!!

Nope not me! Space Mountain is about as wild as I get! I did RnRC to say I did it and I now don't care to do it again!

The faster and wilder the coaster the better...I wish I could...just not something that will be possible!!!

Beauty, sounds like my 8yo. She rode Space & TOT once and hasn't been back on.

My 10yo has been riding thrill rides since she was 6 and loves them. Hulk is her favorite coaster but she's only ridden the ones at WDW, Universal and 6Flags over TX. The biggest one at 6 Flags is the Titan.

Not sure what you mean by working towards a goal. My family has been members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts since my kids were little. We have enjoyed visiting amusement parks with the club and riding many different coasters.

I would love to do that.... Unfortunately, just too busy at work and besides, no money. LOL. :(

I also believe they were talking about ACE- American Coaster Enthiusiasts. Ive been a member for several years and it is a great group. For your memebership fee you get a roller coaster magizene 4 times a year and a newletter 6 times a year. They also sponser alot of group get togethers at different parks where you get exclusive ride timeson the popular rides and they have several major events each year that last several days. Some parks offer special benefits to members of the group. This year we went to Paramont Kings Island ang got admission prices half off and a free walkback at the beginning of the day to a ride before the park opens to the general public. The magizene itself is worth the price of being a member IMHO. They have a website ace.com which have alot of info. If you love roller coasters it is a great deal!!!!

If I wasn't married and perhaps a few years younger, I would love to do this. I love roller coasters, the wilder the better :teeth:

Thanks Bob that does sound like something my 10yo would love. She'll have to get a bit older though ;)

I would love to be able to do it!! I love coasters! The wilder the coaster, the better! :teeth:

I like coasters as well. My kids like coasters. My DH used to skydive, so at least coasters well you are latched in.

We are looking into joining a coaster club.

We do ride a lot of them, and then we do talk about air time, G forces, and designs..

Actually, ACE's website is www.aceonline.org.

I am a member of the Florida Coaster Club, but I did apply for ACE this year. I did it mainly because of the discounts.

Thanks Barry for the proper link!!! And the discounts are very nice and the coaster events are great if you have the time to attend!!.But for me even if i dont get to go to any events i find the magizene/newsletter to be worth the rpice of being a member, but im nuts about coasters so it may not be worth it if you arent into coasters.
