I need 5 new ones. Two big ones and three small ones. Anyone know approx. how much they run? :confused3

Do you need the frame or just the screening replaced? It would make a big difference.

I am not sure of the cost but if the frames are in good shape you may want to check into having just the screens replaced rather than buying all new ones. A lot of hardware stores can put a new screen on any frame you bring down.

We had to get the screen for our sliding door replaced a few years ago at our former house. The cost to get the frame rescreened was sgnificantly cheeper than buying a whole new one.

It would really depends on the window but we had some screens replaced, just redid the actual screens not the whole thing, and it was about $15-20 each.

Ifs its just the screens and not the frame its so easy to do youself. Will cost you under $20 to go to home depot and get the roll of screen, rubber string and the tool. We usually have to do one or 2 each year. The roll lasts while. I wish my neighbors on the other side of me would but some screen instead os studding napkins in the holes

When we bought brand new double hung windows, we requested full screens instead of half screens so we could open the top or bottom of the window without sliding the screens around. Our screens were $70 each (would have been cheaper for half screens) but came with a lifetime warranty and they fix holes, rips, etc. at no cost. If you already have the frames it would be worth just buying the roll of screen, some spline, and a spline tool and trying to do it yourself.

I have Marvin windows but I was able to get replacement generic screens for less than $50. I wish I remember the exact price but I replaced a LOT for under $250. Call a local lumber/hardware dealer who provides home building supplies but not a big box store like Home Depot.

I'm sorry, but I parsed that as "Are window screens explosive?" :)

And if the frames are in good shape, then buy yourself a roll of screen, some spline and a spline roller... it's a dirty job, but it's sure not expensive (or explosive!)

I don't have the frames. DH took out the screens with holes and threw them away - frames and all.

Actually, I would love help on this too. Our builder hasn't been very responsive, and we have no idea how to get new screens (and frames) for the house. We have several large and odd sized windows that I will need the screens and frames replaced for. Do I just call any window guy to get them replaced? It doesn't have to be from the exact manufacturer of the window?

If you go with Marvin, you're looking at at least $30 per screen (I do data entry for a Marvin distributor). The Integrity line is a little less, but still made by Marvin).
