Are we still eligible for member extras?

So we have 2 contracts, 1 is 140 pts bought direct in 2009 and. 60 points bought in 2011 resale. We just sold our 140 pt contract so now we only own 60 resale pts bought in 2011 though. Are we just grandfathered in or because we don't have 75 pts we aren't eligible?

Once you sell your direct points you are no longer eligible for direct benefits. Resale points never "become" direct points just because you owned a direct contract.

Even though this requirement was made after we bought our resale? I guess I didn't even realize it became a thing until just now.

Based on this "Disney and Concierge Collections options are not available for ownership interests not purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. after March 21, 2011, and, effective April 4, 2016, Members who have not purchased an ownership interest directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. will not have access to Membership Extras." It would appear they are actually able get Membership Extras

I would think that the 2011 pts are grandfathered in to whatever benefits were available to resale owners at that point. If you have a blue membership card for that resale contract, I would think you would be fine.

We have 2 resale contracts--1 from 2008, the other from 2014. The 2008 one has no restrictions. The 2014 contract has some restrictions--we can't use our points on the Disney Collection and the Concierge Collection. We still get the Membership extras as those restrictions were put in place in 2016 and we are grandfathered in.

If your resale points were purchased early enough and are grandfathered in, you get all the perks. Not sure about the only having 60 points though. Might have to call on that one.

\Ah you're right - I missed that. If your resale contract was before the initial restrictions, then yes they SHOULD be grandfathered in.

Thank you! I feel so much better now about selling our original contract! Good to hear from someone that has my same situation.

Thx to all that replied. Yes, we have a blue card and I always knew we couldn't book cruises with the 60 pt one which didn't bother me one bit. Thank you!!!
