Are we crazy!!??

Hi everyone! I really enjoy Disboards and reading everyone’s posts! Coming on here is helping pass the time before our next planned trip! Now on to my question…

My fiancé and I love Disney travel and each time before we leave WDW she is always asking when we are coming back. We decided to join DVC back in May while we were at WDW and we are already planning 4 trips!! The first trip, our disneymoon, will be September 2013 and then we have trips planned through 2014. The trips are a ways out so we don't have things booked yet but we have them all planned out. We are obviously a bit more excited for our disneymoon but really we're excited for all of them! Are we crazy for planning so many trips!!??

I love taking my kids and husband there. After so many trips, now I just enjoy the whole ambiance. Rides and shows are fun, but so is strolling around Epcot with a glass of wine! And watching our kids have fun is the best!!

A reason I'm here on the boards (way too much the last couple of weeks) is that I'm planning our next trip too - 6 days from now! Too bad my husband has to stay home But still it's a different kind of fun with kids now!

for the first couple of years planned 10 years out - did I go on them no - which is why stopped planning.

but hey planning itself is fun!

Welcome to DVC! No, you're not crazy. I usually plan my DVC vacations two years out because I can only travel during certain times of the year. Planning that far ahead also helps me plan how to use my points more effectively.

I should also add that I am planning at least 3 trips at any given time. Planning Disney trips and posting on the DIS is my little escape from reallity.

Crazy...? not around here....in the real world maybe, but not here! You're wise to have planned to purchase DVC when you did. DH and I's only regret is that we didn't purchase sooner than what we did! We have 2 trips booked right now, a third trip in early planning and just got back less than 60 days ago from our last trip!

I drive my wife crazy. between planning trips and watching videos people create from their trips on Youtube.....

I wish we would have purchased earlier. (we are 45 and 44 and DS 15)

So let me get this straight, you came to a Disney fan board to ask if you are crazy for booking several trips to Disney? These people are all enablers!!

By the way, next week we are leaving for our 4th trip this year, with number 5 booked for October. Yeah, We are ALL crazy!!

Planning is a must if you want to use your points in the most efficient manner. We have:
Booked 9 DVC trips between Sep and Jul next year.
Planninig a DCL and 5 DVC trips for 2014.

I don't think you are crazy, but maybe this forum is not the right place to ask it.
Here you'll find many people that plan far in advance, especially with DVC. I'll go next year to VGC and after that, I'm already thinking to a trip in 2015!

I also love the planning, but usually only one trip at a time, as we can usually only make it every second year... but when we do go we can use 2 years worth of points and splurge Less than 7 months to our next visit.
