Are Universal hotels better than Disney?

We would love to stay at one of the Disney resorts again. However with an Entertainment rate of $109 US/night for a pool view room with king bed at the Royal Pacific in October ... it's just too great a deal to pass up. In the AAA Tourbook, the HRH and PBH are rated as four diamond establishments ( I would assume that the Royal Pacific would receive the same rating) whereas the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club and Grand Floridian are the only ones receiving the same rating. I would love to stay at either one of them or the AKL if I could get the same rate of $109 per night but as of now, it's just not there . However we are looking forward to staying at the Royal Pacific and just do the drive to WDW on the days we will be going there.
