...spots? We have never seen the show ; the rivers were drained when we were las there. but if we don't want to spend for wever and a day holding spots and just came say 20 minutes before show time ; would we still be able to see lots. I get that they won't be the premium spots but would we still enjoy it? Will the kdis still be able to see?

All depends on the time of year and weekend vs weekday. There is alot of crowding for the ground spaces during the times we have gone. There are many good ways to see the show but no one up front is allowed to stand. There is a lot advice on how to do this in the threads if you search.

Jack is correct. I've heard a lot lately that maybe coming to the second show would be a better option

...read many of the threads on fantasmic but they tend to focus on how to get a good spot I am just wondering if there are "bad" spots? KWIM?

TIA

I don't know if there are really bad spots but we ended up watching from a spot that would have been perfect except we had to look through a tree that obstructed part of our view. From what I could tell from looking around the trees are the only thing that could give you a bad view (aside from standing behind someone taller than you).

I would say the not-so-good spots are on the sides, because you can see behind some of the water at times. I prefer a head on view. Stay away from the control booth area, which is closer to Mansion side. I always try to stay on Pirates side and as close to the middle as I can get.

I've been able to get a relatively good spot by showing up seconds before the show starts, as there is usually room behind everyone at the "standing rope." For kids, that doesn't always work, because they're shorter (not that I'm tall by any means :) ). On non peak nights, you might get lucky and find somewhere along the standing rope that is only a few people deep half an hour until showtime, as most people stake out a sitting spot and the rope line slowly fills up.
