I've read some great posts about Cinderella's slipper and the dog bones...but they aren't quite what I'm looking for...something a "brown" chocolate lover would die for...no white chocolate, or creme fillings..just pure unadulterated chocolate...warm and gooey is better....I saw one on a menu that had a trio of chocolates which included a chocolate soup? Has anyone tried that? I always seem to settle for the great big hot chocolate chip cookies on Main street...but surely there's got to be a great chocolate dessert that doesn't have white stuff on it...hate cream cheese....hate cream fillings....and not so crazy about fluffy souffle types....would like to find a great chocolate warm and tasty dessert....that'll be one of my goals when we go in January..so if you have any suggestions I'd be glad to try them all (if time permits) and report back for the "Best Chocolate Dessert" award.

Thanks!
(Why am I obsessing over chocolate? Because I have 35 pounds to lose between now and our trip and I've boycotted it until we go...so if I can just have some good chocolate to look forward to it will save my diet! :))

My favorite chocolate dessert is the milk chocolate creme brulee at Fulton's.::yes::

I have not tried this yet, but I seem to remember reading a post about a "liquid" chocolate cake at one of the France pavillion restaurants in Epcot???.....I will be looking for it my next trip!!!!!!

My vote would be for the Chocolate Wave at Coral Reef in Epcot, here is a description:

Chocolate Wave - Warm dark chocolate cake with white chocolate grand marnier center, white chocolate ice cream, dried-cherry compote $8.00

The only thing is it comes with white chocolate ice cream but you might be able to ask for Chocolate, also the center doesn't take away from the wonderful experience...lol
...either way, im a HUGE Chocoholic and this is one awesome desert!

How about Ghirardelli's Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop at Downtown Disney? You can smell the chocolate before you even walk in.

Sorry...that was the wrong link...The following post has the correct one!

Kona Cafe at the Poly...
Pure chocolate heaven !!

I HAD THE BEST CHOCOLATE DESERT AT PORT ORLEANS LAST YEAR. IT WAS A CHOCOLATE CUP WITH CHOCALATE MOOUSE AND CHOCOLATE FROSTING. I BELIEVE IT WAS CALLED TRIPLE CHOCOLATE DEATH. I AM A CHOCOLATE EATER BUT I COULD NOT EVEN FINISH THIS DESERT. UUMMMMMMMMM:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Uhhhhh My God,this is not a good subject if you are hungry or on a diet,as soon as i get to WDW next time i am going straight to the Polynesian for that heaven cake or whatever its called.

My mouth drools over the Chocolate Valrhona Cake at the Cali Grill!

Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake with Molten Center and Raspberry Chocolate Ice Cream.

When we had this last trip we ended up going back another 2 times! It looks like a small chocolate cake then when you stick your fork into it melted fudge stuff comes out. MMMmmmmm
The type of ice cream changes often since they make it fresh there.

LOL My thoughts exactly, Im on a diet until we step foot off the plane on Nov 26th so Im making lots of mental notes of where I want to go....

I posted about the Chocolate Wave and how good it is, but we aren't going to eat at Coral Reef, now im thinking we might need to squeeze it in for dessert only...LOL

Oh YEAH! PanFan posted a pic of the kileau torte at the Poly. Check out my signature line...:p

This is the yummiest, warm hazelnut squirting , hot chocolate cake in the world! It is a must have. You will NOT be dissapointed!

Em:wave:

PanFan... NOW THAT'S MORE MY SPEED!!! Might have to change my PS's to add in Kona Cafe!!! YUMMY!!!! I think I may have to change all my PS's to make sure I hit all these chocolate choices! I'll give a full report after January! And pictures!!!

Oh! 4orm...missed your description of the gooey raspberry concoction...I actually love raspberries with chocolate...sounds sooo good...okay...adding that one too! :) I wonder if I'll actually come back not every wanting chocolate again?

Tara

Thanks Emme for the name of that fabulous desset....kileau torte! I didn't remember the name of it but did take a picture ....lol!

I know that I will be enjoying it after my Wishes cruise on December 13th though!

best wishes to all chocolate lovers out there!

We found the best chocolate dessert last year at the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe (the walk-though a la carte cafe) in Norway in Epcot. Deb's site just lists a double chocoate cake - I don't remember if that is what is was called, but boy what we had (twice) was sure chocolatey, moist, and rich.

This past summer I tried the flourless chocolate cake mini-dessert at Starring Rolls Bakery at Disney MGM. It was fantastic -- I'm a real dark chocolate lover. It was small, but only $1.79 I think and easy to give a try -- no PSs required. It's not warm chocolate, but it's very dense and chocolately. Yum. I wish I'd gotten back there for another one.

Good luck on your quest. It's one I can wholeheartedly endorse. Let us all know about whatever you end up trying.

Julie

Ghirardelli's!!!!! They have the best brownie sundae!!!

DW loved the chocolate cake she had at MK's Mainstreet Bakery in April. Very moist cake with layers of very rich chocolate!

California Grill - Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake, made freshly for you, light moist sponge cake with a molten warm chocolate centre that runs out when you split open the cake with your spoon, pure heaven. Oh, and the rest of our meal there was great too.
