First question: does dedicated 2br mean that the 2nd br will have 2 queen beds as opposed to a bed and a pull-out couch or does it mean something else?
Second: whatever it means, are there any dedicated 2br at BWV?

I can only answer part of this. Dedicated means it is ONLY a 2 bedroom place. Can't be split up. when we stayed at BWV we had a 2 bedroom but our side was a regular 1 bedroom and then the 2nd bedroom where my parents were staying was a studio that just connected to our 1 bedroom back by the patio door at the back of the room. we both had doors to the outside hallway. Hope that makes sense. I don't know whether or not BWV has any dedicated 2 bedrooms. That way the 2nd bedroom can also function as a studio. We have had a dedicated over at BCV and when you walk into it it is like a small foyer and then the 2nd bedroom has a door to enter it on the right or left. But it is much more suite looking than just connecting rooms. Hope that helps some. I don't know anything different about the beds. I thought all of ours had 2 doubles or queens in the 2nd bedroom.

WebmasterDoc, our resident villa accommodations expert, posted this in another thread. We can always count on Doc to come through on these questions.

You'll see from his chart, that there are no dedicated 2-B/R villas at BWV.

At BCV, only some of the dedicated 2 bedrooms have 2 queens in the second bedroom, the rest have 1 queen and a pullout sofa. You have to reserve the 2 queens when you make the reservation. All of OKW's dedicated 2 bedrooms have 2 queens. I believe all of VWL's dedicated 2 bedrooms have the 2 queens, but I'm not positive, same with SSR.

At OKW, ALL 2 bedrooms have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom.

Just confirming that all of the 2 bedroom units at the BWV are lock offs.

Also, every studio (and thus all of the 2nd bedrooms of the 2 bedroom units) have one queen bed and a sleep sofa. There are no studios at the BWV with two queen beds.

Best wishes -

Thanks everyone for all the info - especially love the specs on all the villa accomadations.

So now for one more question -- why would someone specifically WANT a dedicated 2br? Is there then a size difference compared to the "lockoff" (?correct term) or is it just an aesthetic difference? or something else?

Some prefer the dedicated 2 bedrooms for having one less door to the outside. This might be important with kids. Some prefer teh 2 beds instead of the pull out sofa. At OKW, we prefer the 2 bedroom dedicated units because of the additional storage space (extra closet).

A lot of people like dedicated because they (usually) have two beds as opposed to a bed and a pull out.

People with kids like a dedicated because there is no door to the hallway through the second bedroom - night wandering is less likely.

On the other hand, groups traveling with multiple adults (like when we brought my MIL) may want the lock off to let the other adults have some "independance" through a second door (particularly if you have kids on the pull out in the living room).

The lockoff studio has a kitchenette - also nice when traveling with a second set of adults.

And, if you are only going to use one bed, having the couch instead of a second bed leaves you a lot of room.
