Lots of people must decide they dont need their reservations then and post them on social media. I dont post screenshots here out of respect but I have seen people posting 10 reservations for rent at the Grand all at once many within 7-11 months. Saw another this week renting all of her points at 11 months her history leads me to believe this isnt just an off year. There is another that actually has a website dedicated to renting their points at 11 months. But as for the call we didn't talk about availability when, it was just people complain that there isn't availability when rooms are being refurbed.

Anyway I wont be following up with her about commercial renting, I dont want to be seen as just a complainer. I will fight one battle at a time and right now the battle is for a refurbed shower.

They are in it to make money so studios is where they make the most. I think confirmed reservations have a small upside that if the reservation doesn't rent they will drop it and gives more availability in the 30-60 day mark for those who look at the site often for openings, but on the flip side it hurts those advance planners

Soft goods? New appliances,
floors, and a Murphy bed are soft goods?

New appliance no but they have redone flooring and added the murphy beds to soft goods refurbs starting with PVB.

PVB, VGF, BCV have all had the flooring changed and the murphy beds added during a soft goods refurb.

Murphy beds have already been announced for the Soft Goods at CCV as well.

After the CCV refurb is complete of the 17 resorts only AUL, AKL and OKW will not have the murphy beds.
I expect them to come to AKL when that refurb has finally taken place.

I really don’t think commercial renting is that huge of an issue at Grand Cal inside of the home resort window.

It’s a small resort, so availability will always be an issue.

It doesn't give me hope unfortutely. There is a lot more work with a bathroom remodel then just laying down laminate and installing a bed.

Then they have to take the rooms out of service again. It pains me to say it but I don't see the remodel happening anytime soon.

Given that the resort opened in 2009…. and we are supposed to be on a 7/15 yr refurb schedule…..

Now…. I think the studio shower tiling looks Basic B and the villas shower tiling look great…

I went in asking for coasters, which are much better than I expected. They said they didn't have to log those, but if I wanted a magnet, they needed to log that. I did want a magnet and they gave me the draw string bag with the magnet and a few other things. I asked if they needed to see my card in my wallet and they said it was easier to just give my phone number.
