Are the Shutter photos up yet?

I have been going to wdw at least yearly since 1980 and I never even heard of Shutters before today...now i know why!

I hate to say it, but I'm a little glad the experience was so bad, cause the review was so good! I had tears in my eyes by the end! I wonder if the Disney radar dish picked this up and if so, I bet a lead or two was red-faced and shaking with anger.

Tell the chef just to bypass the unemployment line, he's got a future with CSI Orlando.

I just fast forwarded to the restaurant review (will go back later for the rest lol). These pics are making me ILL.

Wow! I am stunned that any restaurant anywhere would serve food like that! Absolutely repulsive!

I didnt even mention the rice and beans on the land and sea platter.

The rice had the consistency of old leather and you can litterally see all of the black beans served. There are none under the rice.

I had not seen these photos in large scale. I had only viewed them on my camera screen.

You can see the grease on the plates.

I'm disgusted all over again.:scared1:

:lmao: I am soooooooo glad I did not eat there last year when I stayed at Caribbean Beach. I was thinking about it, but some "voice" in my head told me not to. Thank you "voice" in my head for changing my mind ;) :rotfl2:

What the heck is that meat made of on the appetizer? It looks like ABC food (Already been chewed) :scared1::rotfl:

I enjoyed the review too. My oldest son listend to it with me and loved listening to Kevin's descriptions. We ate there in 2007 and it was nothing like Kevin got. Guess we were lucky sounds like things went down the tubes there.

My sister came up behind me while I was looking at the pictures, she goes
"Oh my god...what IS that?!?!" (the picture of the steak was up) I said that is a steak from Shutters restaurant at Caribbean Beach, she absolutely would not believe me, she said Disney would never serve that, I made her listen to Kevin's review, she is completely horrified, it was almost more fun watching her reaction to Kevin's review than Kevin's review was. Almost. :rotfl2:

A lot of times, when someone describes food as looking like a body part, you know there's some exaggeration there. But I must say, that analogy was quite accurate. I bet Andrew Zimmern would even have a hard time wanting to eat that.

In defense of the pulled pork/barbeue, I have seen it look more on the gray side before (Carolina style perhaps????); and it can be very good. So maybe that's what they were going for. :confused3

I listened to this review 3 times today because it found it so amusing... I told everyone I could find about it but these pictures are hilarious. Was it a trubuite to the BP executives cause I see Oil Spill all over the Surf and Turf Plate & the cat food I would not even feed my cat. Thanks for the laughs Kevin!!

I agree the pictures were discusting. My DS asked if Stitch prepared the food.

Yikes everything looks so greasy. It looks like you could slide it across the floor like a toy:scared1:

I actually thought the pics of the Apps made them look rather nice (doesnt mean they were any good) just goes to show how a picture can be decieving cause the black bean soup looked kinda gross to me.

The mains look terrible though. The beans under the rice are grey, the 'steak' looked like one of the cheap thin cuts (we call them dollar steaks) you get at the store and for the life of me I cant figure out how the outside got so burnt without apparantly cooking anything in the diminutive middle. Ribs looked like they had the same problem. Those were definitely terrible looking main dishes!

Hopefully the Disney food and beverage director calls the chef in for an explanation and a lashing. If Disney is looking at cutting cost, they could save money on the chef's salary. Anybody could prepare that meal better than he/she did.

I noticed the rice and beans in the photos looked really bad. It looked like they had too much water in the rice and let it sit too long. :scared1: The beans don't look much better. We buy store brand cans of black beans that look far better than what is on the plate. :sad2: And the cans are around 50 cents! :rotfl:

The soup cup caught my eye too. Could they not have wiped down the cup? I know this is not CG but the staff needs to take a bit of pride in their work. Its not like they were slammed full of people.

The shrimp fitters looks good. Too bad they are just corn fritters. :lmao:

Later,
Dan
