Do the cheaper knock off crocs wear the same as the real crocs. Do they cause blisters if you don't buy the orginal ones. My daughter has been wanting a pair for months & i just wouldn't buy her a pair, because i thought they were so ugly. But if i buy the knock off i could get us both a pair for the price of 1 pair of real crocs.

:sad2: Nope, they aren't the same thing. Of course if you have never owned a pair of real crocs you wouldn't know. I bought some before I bought the real ones.... then when I got the real ones, it was like "WOW" !!
You would be missing out on the softness and flexibility of the shoe.... real crocs are soooooo comfortable. Fake crocs are not nearly as soft, and they just aren't the same. Go ahead and splurge on some good ones !!!

Of course if you are buying them for a child and they just want "crocs" .... I can understand it. They ARE expensive....and most likely the child wouldn't realize the difference !!

Personally, I have never worn the knock off Crocs but I did see them in Wal Mart today. At first glance, I thought they were real ones! However, I did feel the material and it did not feel as soft to me. I remember wondering if they would even be comfortable.
I am also curious to see what other people say. :scratchin

I have owned target brand, walmart brand, and payless. The target and walmart were hard. The payless brand comes the closest. I live in the Northeast and only wear them half the year, so the payless work fine for me. I bought the real crocs in the thong/flip-flop style and they give me blisters, so not all styles of the crocs are soft and cozy.

my daughter has the payless ones and they are soft and squishy.....the walmart ones are very hard compared...she had tried on real crocs and then we bought these in a BOGO sale..and she loves them. I am getting her some real disney crocs for our trip but i wouldnt buy them if we werent going...we like the payless ones.

I have several pair of the payless brand and none of the real crocs so I have only half a point of view so.... the payless ones are very comfy and I have had no issues with them being hard etc. Hubby has the real crocs and the material does seem a bit different--the real ones seem firmer, my knock offs are squishier I think. For what it is worth I have heard that the only acceptable alternative to the real ones are the payless brand. I feel like for half the price i am good with the knockoffs--then i can have more colors!

Definitely don't get them at Wal Mart or Target. Payless ones are squishy, the other two are hard!

I have 2 pairs- one real Crocs and one from Payless; I actually prefer the Payless ones, but both are comfy. I have heard that Walmart and Target aren't as good, so since I know from experience, I will stick with Payless.

We bought DD a pair of WM fake crocs for Christmas. Actually, it was a "gift" from our dog. Our dog "thought" she might want something to slip on quickly, and hose off easily (just think stepping in poo).

So, I doubt she'll get blisters or anything, she'll most likely only be walking out on the deck while the dog is taking care of business.

DD has never had real crocs, so has nothing to compare the ones she did get to.

My kids have real ones and the Payless ones. They like both equally the same. One thing I've read although it hasn't been an issue for us, is that the real Crocs have some type of treatment in them to take away the smell of stinky feet.

I just tried some on at Payless today and I wasn't that impressed. :confused3
But I've never tried the real thing.

I started w/ the Payless ones (tie dyes!) and they are OK. Very squishy, not much arch support, even with the air holes, my feet get too warm and sweaty in them. Sprung for a real pair of Crocs and have never looked back. The Crocs have little nubs in the bottom of the foot bed for much better air circulation (and a mini-massage). They feel sturdier, but still soft. I have heel spurs and have done 2 conventions with a WDW in between in just Crocs, which I never could have done in the Payless ones. I currently have a pair of Beach, Mary Janes, and Mickeys. I have a 10yo DD who has some issues and shoe comfort is a real problem with her. She is a 1/2 size smaller than me and was having a terrible time with her tennis shoes on our last trip, so we traded for the evening. My feet were killing me, but she was in heaven and begged for her own pair of Mary Janes which she has worn constantly since she got them. I should own stock...

I bought a pair on sale a while back for DD3 from Wal Mart. She got blisters from them. So we bought her a pair of Pink Disney Crocs from Nordstrom for $24.99 for Christmas. They are made much better on the inside by the strap and she tells everyone "the mickey ones don't give me blisters!"

I did wear the Payless ones for our trip in September and was VERY satisfied. I had the regular style and the flip flops. I had worn them a few times at home vefore we went and they were really great. The only issue I had was on the heel I had some rubbing. I put a blister band-aid on and was good to go.
I think I will spring for the real ones next time since those Mickey ones are SO cute but the Payless ones were really great. If you search on here you should find several threads from the summer saying the same things.
Good luck!

I have the Crocs Caymen and the Payless Airwalks and I like both. I used my Airwalks on the last trip to WDW and had no problems. The Airwalks fit my feet a little better because they are more narrow, but i do like the feel of my Crocs better. I just wish they Airwalks came in more colors, because you sure can't beat the BOGO sales they have! My daughter also has a pair called Aqua Ducks that we bought at Shoe Carnival (I think that is the name of that store) and she says they are as comfortable as her Airwalks.

Shoe Dept has mock-crocs that are more authentic also.....

I have two pairs of real crocs...One yellow...one black/red Disney...
l love both of them...

I also have two pairs of mock-crocs from Five Below store. (had to try them for 5 bucks..) i bought a new blue pair and a lime green pair in the same size.

They both are very similar to real-crocs
The navy ones fit great no blisters...The lime green ones seem smaller and the plastic thing theat holds the strap on rubs the side of my foot.

I bought my first pair of croc-offs at the beach/sports store at Downtown Disney. They were an expensive knock-off, but wonderful! My son has a pair of these and real Crocs and he says they are both the same in comfort. They are the Pali brand and they only had one color-tan--but that was fine. My other pair is a $14 pair I bought in Orlando, on the same WDW trip, at one of those swimwear stores that you find on every corner in Fla. They are white with flowers all over them and are very comfy and soft. I get a lot of compliments on them b/c they are very cute. I don't know the brand, but they have little seahorses on the strap doo-dad.

can you purchase Disney crocs in WDW? How much do kids sell for? i can't get disney ones where i am
