OK,ok...I know they're not REALLY falling apart but I have been reading a few threads about cabins needing repairs or dirty or mold in areas(which I understand ALITTLE mold,it IS Florida) but at 300.00 a night I really don't want to be thrown back be worn carpet or cabin siding falling apart or mildew and mold in bathroom or kitchen area. Does anyone know when they were last renovated? TIA..Julie

They looked good on the outside back in December

Our cabin last week was fine. No mold anywhere, and I would swear the carpet was on the newer side. The siding outside was all in place, as was the lattice. The grill was in good condition. The only thing that could use replacing soon is the table outdoors - but that's to be expected given the Florida weather conditions.

I don't know where you got the idea that they were not in good condition.

1.5 years ago, our cabin had molding that was coming off in the bedroom. We did care. The rest was great. These cabins are really trailers and do depreciate like one. I think the maintenance is greater with one of these then a hotel room or villas. Just my opinion. We love the cabins and wont stay anywhere else.....at least for right now.

They were all remodeled in late 2007, we stayed in one in December and everyting was brand new..so new,in fact..that beds comforters were still stiff!!!

Although the cabin we stayed in showed a little wear and tear (kitchen cabinets with broken hinges, peeling varnish on the bathroom door, scummy looking windows) it was overall VERY clean, didn't notice any dust as others have mentioned, even behind the Murphy bed (and I looked). As a PP mentioned, I would think that maintenance of these cabins in the trees would be harder to keep up. We thought they were definitely worth the price and would stay there again in August if we could!

THANKS!!! This makes me feel like we made the right decision to stay here :thumbsup2

We just returned home after spending last week at the Cabins.
The only thing we noticed was a little mold over the door in the bathroom.
Everything else seemed to be in excellent condition.

FWIW we were in Cabin 2447

We were also there last week (2238) and I did not notice any problems.

Don't know if I would stay again, mostly because I like to check out different places.

next time either we bring our airstream or I would like to try something over by the Beach Club.

We stayed in December last year and our cabin was great. We loved it so much that we plan to book one again this Christmas. The kids would rather stay in the cabin than the camper. Of course, there is a lot more room in the cabin.

all I noticed last month was one broken shelf in the fridge door. The cabin was SPOTLESS. Amazing mousekeeping all week.

We stayed in 2851 from Tues. 3/17 - Tues. 3/24. We found it very nice, clean, and spacious.

My wife and I slept on the Murphy bed and found it unexpectedly comfortable, all be it a bit short. We had our three children staying in the bed room.

Our allergies did flare up, especially in the cabin, but there was no obvious mold or anything.

There were a few minor maintenance issues: the cabinet under the sink had a hinge that clunked and needed repair, but it was usable; the bottom drawer in the bed room bound and pulled out at an angle, but it was serviceable for adults, just not for children; the exhaust fan in the bathroom must have been bent as it pinged when it first started, but at speed it was ok. These were all pretty minor issues.

The only real problem was the armadillo that kept coming up on the porch at night and banging into the picnic table legs. That gave us quite a scare until we figured out was was going on :scared1:.

Overall, it was great, and we would enjoy returning.
