Are squinkies the new zhu zhu pets for this year?

I've just finished mid Phoenix area search for Squinkies and Monster High dolls.
In this neck of the woods its clear that Squinkies and Monster High are the hits.
Monster High dolls* (doll and pet) were out of stock at the Target and Walmart stores I hit. It seems like these dolls (and especially Lagoona and her fish) are going to be hard to find so if they are on your list you probably shouldn't wait. I'm going to try again Friday evening.
Anyhow there were some random packs of Squinkies but no bracelets,gumball machines,cupcakes or teasets;-( I'm also still looking for Lotso stuff...hopefully I'll find some next week DTD)
What there were a TON of (I don't know if those stores do charge sends, but it might be worth asking):
Zoobles
Zoobles playsets
Polly Pocket
Strawberry Shortcake
also tons of (at Walmart) Tinkerbell sets that are marked down to $9.00 which is apparently not low enough to sell as some of them even had dust!!!
*The only doll they had was Cleo in the giftset with Deuce. I think she may be a shelf warmer until the next release of Dance dolls which should be out later this week?

I was in Target today and they had the Monster High dolls but there weren't many left. I saw Zoobles there and at Kmart. Of course I'm looking for Squinkies and they were no where to be found.

I got lucky today. I was going to Toys R Us to look for squinkies but decided to stop at Walmart first. Well, I never did make it to TRU because Walmart was fully stocked of squinkies

I bought the cupcake playset, series 1-4 of the 16 piece sets (though they did have all 6 series) and two packs of the 3 pack sets (one was a seashell and the other one was a purse. They also had the wedding set and princess set.) They also had bracelets, gumball machines, carrying case...

I was so happy to find them! I don't want to be hunting them down closer to Christmas. I figure my girls can share the playset and each one will get 2 of the 16 packs for now and 1 each of the smaller sets. Plus, I already bought several of the Zoobles thank goodness, lol

I've been able to find Zoobles at our local Target, Walmart and Meijer each time I have been.

I was able to find some Squinkies once at Walmart (and I bought some!) and not again. They are all out at the Walmart, Target and Meijer near me.

Im in Metro Detroit Michigan.

Hey There familiar face Good luck on your drive to Disney. Maddie has gone the last 3 Feb and is already asking to go again this year. I think I created a monster, LOL!
