Are squinkies the new zhu zhu pets for this year?

Went to walmart tonight. Still no polly pockets. No squinkies, not even a place where they would be and the zoobles where all sold out. sigh

our Target, Kmart, and Walmart have a TON of zoobles. Squinkies however are GONE!

Just bought several things from Amazon. Most of the shipping was free with our Prime membership. I don't think DD11 will want them, but my nieces might -- better to have them now in case and sell on eBay later on if need be. Thanks!

I've been able to find Zoobles at our local Target, Walmart and Meijer each time I have been.

I was able to find some Squinkies once at Walmart (and I bought some!) and not again. They are all out at the Walmart, Target and Meijer near me.

Im in Metro Detroit Michigan.

there are only 2 TRUs here in this area and both are out of Squinkies but I was able to get a raincheck for them so I'll use that when they get a decent amount in again.

The weird thing is that there were tons of the Walmarts, in the past couple of weeks but I went to 2 Walmarts yesterday and not only were they gone, the spot were they were was gone too! Not a spot in the entire toy section for them! I find it hard to believe that Walmart would suddenly discontinue a 'hot' toy out of the blue but it was really bizarre and the employees in the toy section had no idea what I was talking about when I asked them about the squinkies.

Weird, unless something happened with Walmart's distribution contact with the vendor? Wonder whether they're self-imposing a shortage of them, making them appear "hotter" and more scarce than they really are?

None of the Walmarts that I've been to, here in the Philly/South Jersey area have them. However, Target seems to always have them. Either the small "bracelet" packs, or the ones with 16 Squinkies...I was able to buy several packs of each for my nieces birthday.

I am rounding up items for a Raffle / Fundraiser for our school to be held in November. I'm going to have to try and get some of these to use as raffle items, hopefully we'll sell more tickets that way.

I had order some online last month from Target, I was told they were going to ship sept 1st. Got an email last night that the order was canceled due to the fact they couldn't get them in stock...I am kinda upset because they had charged my cc already. I called target and they told me that they would refund me the money ( like they were doing me a favor?!!) but it could take up to 10 days!

My mom manged to get both of the girls each 6 packs of the squinkles. Cupcake house,Carrying case purple and the gumball machine for Christmas. She wiped out or local Toy's r US. The really had nothing left after that. Honestly my girls are really into LPS and Poneyville stuff so I'm sure they will love it. I told my mom no big gifts this year. SO I think she thinks it is ok to buy them lots of little stuff instead. LOL

My daughter loves the commercials! She has tons of Littlest Pet Shop and has asked for LPS stuff. I don't want to miss out and 2 months from now have her writing to Santa that she wants these. The Walmart near me has them in stock, I guess I'll just buy it, I can always return them... or sell them on Ebay!

ETA: The commercial just came on and I asked DD which she would rather get as a gift LPS or Squinkies, and without hesitation she said, LPS. So no fad toys for us this year. Phew!

This is my dd's I asked them about Zoobles and they would rather have more LPS stuff and poneyville. My mom did get the girls all the squinkle stuff. But it isn't something I would have bought. But grammy thinks they need it.

I plan on getting them each the new Rescue Center I already have some Triplets bought and want to get them each a pack of the new ones. The Piggy,monkey's and bears are so cute. My only problem is I have to buy 2 of everyting to avoid fighting.

Our Walmart has had lots of both of these toys for the past month or so. We went two days ago and they still had plenty of them. Of course DD wanted all of them. She also really likes the Whimsy pets. She sees ads for all of these. I think I might buy some, just in case, which ones are the most popular or they all about the same?

We live in central IL and definitely a bit behind on some of the fads!

Went to walmart yesterday in search of squinkies and pollys. Figured out why we are not getting any new toys. They are building a new supercenter down the street and they are not doing a lot of ordering until they move into the new building in oct.

Found zoobles and new pollys at target last night. No squinkies. The lady working said they haven't gotten any in since they sold out a couple of weeks ago., ugh

Just bought them today at AC Moore. They had them hanging, from a clip strip, on the end of a toy aisle.

I scored some at Walmart today for my cousin, as I already have all I am interested in. I got the large cupcake Bakery, bracelets, seashell holder and little teapot set

I was at our Wal-Mart again and they still had a lot of Squinkes and Zoobles, but definitely less than the last time we went. I didn't see any Squinkies at Toys R Us except for the carrying case and they only had 2 2-packs of Zoobles and 1 large set, I haven't been to Target but might go on Thursday. Meijer had a couple Squinkies things, but no Zoobles.

Is there any specific thing that might be more popular than another? I got DD the Mermaid squinkies and the princess bracelet, and a 2 pack of Zoobles. I hope she doesn't want too many, I let her open the Zoobles and hid the Squinkies for Christmas. The Zoobles are cute, the Squinkies best I can tell you can put on a ring or bracelet to wear.

One of our Walmarts nearby actually had the Squinkies Palace Surprize on sale and when i asked the store associates about it they had no idea what i was talking to even though i had the product in my hands..but our other walmarts all have plenty of them in stock, some more than others...I don't have a target nearby or a TRU but i'll be checking those places tomorrow in Madison
