A co worker has asked me to help her plan a trip for her family of 9, 6 adults, 3 children (1 is an infant). I have seen information for a special number for magical gatherings, but wondered if there is a difference when you have that many?

I've planned 1 magical gathering and I am planning another now and I never got a discounted rate on rooms or tickets. There may be a group rate of some sort but I am guessing its many more than 9.
Being a magical gathering group does open up some special events though. They are listed on the website
Definiely no additional discounts offered for being a grand gathering, but they do have special events you can book.
Disney is requiring all parties that are 8 or more (over the age of 2) to be designated as a grand gathering now (since January)
Discounts on rooms for groups start at 10 rooms. You can then get ticket disounts too. We were going to have a very large group last year and got all the information from a special events coordinator at WDW.
