Hi: Never stayed at pop century. Wondering if the beds are comfortable.

Thanks,

Deb.

Well you probably will get a lot of different answers since bed needs and likes vary so much! For me and my family the beds were just fine. After a long day at the parks however, I would probably find a plank comfy as well. As I recall, they are on the firm side but again, to me thats a good thing.

I sleep on a TempurPedic bed at home, so no hotel bed is comfy for me.

However, the POP beds are super hard and bouncy. There is no padding on the top of the mattress at all...it feels like you are sleeping on a trampoline with a sheet on top, no joke. It was pretty painful for my hips, but I was pregnant at the time, so painful hips at night is nothing out of the ordinary.

I would consider them the least comfortable beds I have ever slept at in Disney.

If you like firm and bouncy, you're in luck though.

I took a memory foam mattress topper along (as my carry-on) on the trip to Pop, and was so glad I did. It helped a lot. I overheard a couple of men talking about they were the worst beds ever. Of course, it depends on you -- if you have trouble sleeping anyway, you may not like them. My daughter didn't have any trouble with her bed.

Just back from 7 nights at POP. My group had three rooms and I heard no complaints about the beds. However, like Amy&Dan said, we were pretty worn out at the end of each day.

I personally thought the beds were firm, but acceptable. I prefer a firm bed to a saggy one.

We've stayed there 3 times and have no complaints about the beds or pillows and we were those who always brought our pillows along. Enjoy !

I've just returned from my sixth stay at Pop. I've only run across one bed that I could feel the coils. One bed was so comfortable, I ended up sleeping for 13 hours!!! Guess it's the luck-of-the-draw!

We had a king bed and had no complaints. But like others said we were so tired every night I think we could have slept on the floor and been fine.

Just back from 9 nights,we had two rooms and no complaints here.

Well, if the beds at Pop are anything like the beds at All Star Movies, then they are not the most comfortable.
I'm guessing the beds are similar because they are both value resorts.
In 2005 when I stayed at CBR I loved the beds and then 2006 when I went to ASMO it was a big change for me.
You get used to it, I suppose.
When I first walked in the room at ASMO and I sat on the bed I was like "Ew. Why are they so hard?"
:rotfl: but, then you get used to them and you're so tired at the end of the day, it honestly doesn't matter that much.
The rest of the trip I didn't complain.
I guess I'll be finding out for myself about Pop in November.

I agree.

They could have been a cement slab and I would have zonked. :teeth:

I absolutely love a firm bed . . . I swear . . . but the Pop beds were the hardest beds I ever slept on. Too hard - didn't sleep well. :confused3

The Pop beds are also the hardest beds I've ever slept on. They're much harder than the beds in the other 3 WDW resorts that I've stayed in (ASMU, ASSP, CBR).

I am very picky about my beds (I bring my own pillow) and POP was fine. We had a king bed and I slept very well.

The worst sleep I ever had was in AKL concierge! Of course we were sharing a room with my parents so I may have been bothered more by them than by the bed.

I am very picky, and I stayed in Building 5, and thought it was very comfortable, Every one is different though.

We stayed there one night and the bed was not comfy. I felt the springs in the mattress.

No complaints here. I think it is like at any hotel - the luck of the draw.
If you don't zonk out as soon as your head hits the pillow and you notice how the bed is, you're not having enough fun and need to go at it a little harder the next day. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
