Are pets allowed in guest rooms?

I thought I saw a posted picture of someone's dog on the bed at HRH. Not that I don't love dogs and understand the need to bring them along on vacation, but my kids are both allergic to dog hair/dander. What are the chances that the rooms are completely "dog hair free" by the time the next guest checks in?

They have both pet rooms & rooms that are pet free. The pets are only on 2 floors. Have them make a notes on your ressie that you don't want a pet room. Remind them again at check-in. I won't be a problem. Enjoy your trip. :)

My daughter is terrified of dogs. What are the chances we will run into them in the halls or elevators? What are the rules for pets in the hotels?

We have been to the resorts many times and have yet to encounter a dog in the elevator. However, there is a very, very slight chance you might run into one, although most of the pet rooms are on the first two floors. The good thing at RPR is that there are 4 elevators in each tower, so if the door opens and there is a dog in the elevator - just take the next one.

And although dogs are allowed, unless there is a huge dog show in town (the PBH occasionally hosts one), the number of dogs vs, the number of rooms is pretty negligible. The main place I have noticed the dogs are on the paths outside being walked, all on leashes. It usually is no different than at home when going to a park or just walking around the neighborhood.

You shouldn't have a problem :)

We stayed at the HRH last July. (I believe the 5th floor.) The people in the room next to us had a small dog that barked a lot during the night. We tried to let it go, but my DH broke and finally called the front desk. They asked him to go next door and ask the other guests to quiet their dog. He was also told that it was ther priviledge to have their pet on vacation with them. At that point, my husband explained to them that we were also paying for a hotel room to "sleep" in. Nothing was done. The next night it started again. We called again and finally someone came to their door (the dog really started barking then). We checked out the next day. The guys from luggage told us that they should have moved us, only certain floors allowed pets--this was never explained when we were calling.

We didn't know that the hotel allowed pets when we booked. Next time we will definitely ask for a room on a pet free floor. I love dogs, but don't want to sleep where the previous guest may have had a dog on the bed.

We ran into many people with dogs through out the hotel.

Thanks for the replies. Do you know, are pets allowed in all 3 hotels?

Do you happen to know, if you were there during a dog show? We've stayed at all 3 hotels, & have only seen 4 dogs other than ours in the resorts combined. I'm surprised you encountered so many.

All 3 resorts do allow pets. At RPR they are confined to one building though. Like I mentioned above, it's rare to encounter that many dogs. At least, from our experience.
