No the scripts won't clear it... I have to wait til it flares back up then go down and get it removed (mini surgery?) and the scripts are for after that (antibiotic to keep off infection and vicodin for pain). And then he will send it to be checked to make 100% sure that's what it was. Blah

So a couple of years ago, my DH had a bump show up on his tongue. It kept getting bigger and bigger, and it was right in the middle of his tongue.

It bothered him so much he grabbed it with the tweezers and yanked on it. Pulled it right out, it had roots on it, totally gross. Blood and nasty stuff, really sore in his mouth... Had to rinse with peroxide. But it was gone.

He was happy it was gone.... Then a week later it was coming right back, so I made him go to the Dr. Turns out it was a blocked taste bud, and the Dr. did the same thing, yanked it out, but did give him pain stuff and antibiotics.

David did not get all of it the first time. It has never come back again. Which I am glad...

Back from the oral surgeon... he can't do anything today since the bump has gone done but I have a treatment plan to call and get it removed (and biopsied) when it swells back up again. And 2 prescriptions. Oh joy...

I can believe that a man tried to take care of his own wound rather than go to a doctor!

Speaking of gross. I am at the Dr office. Last Wednesday I noticed a lump on my back. I assumed it was some kind of a bug bite. However it kept getting bigger and started to keep me from sleeping, it hurt so bad. Saturday i emailed a picture to my Doctor. She told me to apply warm compresses and it woukd come to a head. I coukd pop it and woukd have relief.

Well it started to get red around the area. Not sure if I was burning myself but the doctor says it's some kinda cyst. She gave me a script foe antibiotics. What I thought was going to be gross was I thought she was going to burst it ooen, but she says there is no fluid inthere. Its all solid.
