LAX is probably 45 minutes from DLR without traffic. I was having this discussion with someone on another thread. They are allowing two hours to get to the airport. Probably too much, but better to be safe than sorry.

Do you know how you're getting there? You'll probably get there before your room is ready.

It depends on when our friend is getting in because i think she is renting a car. I will worry about all that a lot closer to the date - gotta get through Hawaii and the home purchase

Well we are in contract... inspections this Thursday, appraisal soon after that, and loan is well underway. So as long as nothing goes wrong...

I am excited to go back in Thursday and measure and see everything again

We are going Nov 2-9. Flying into LAX - how far is that from the resort? We are getting in around noon on Nov 2 and leaving earlyish (like 8am?) on the 9th.

On a Saturday, maybe an hour. It depends on the traffic. I am in between the two and can be at LAX in 10 minutes and DLR in 30 without traffic.

Another insurer (State Farm) that won't write homeowners anymore in FL. grrrr. They are still fine with giving me an auto quote but there is no point paying more for auto if I can't even get a homeowners policy. Sheesh.

Yikes, I didn't know it was that hard to get insurance. Is that because of the Hurricane risk? I hope you are able to find something..and that it is reasonable.

Yes! I am very happy with them! Costco asked if I wanted glossy or lustre so I googled what lustre was and went with that. I think it was the right choice! The pics were only $1.50 each and I also bought the 2-pack of frames at costco so the whole project was < $20

Now my husband is asking about pics of his grandparents so I may be back.

Yup hurricane. Not many companies write here. Allstate doesn't, State Farm isn't writing new business, etc etc. There is even a state run program for those who can't get other insurance but it is plagued with problems.

It was a pain even getting renter's insurance! I'm not even in the hurricane area! To get here it has to go west into the Gulf of Mexico THEN turn easy and go into the Tampa Bay. Then to get to me it would have to travel over a good 15+ miles of land. So not likely to be strong at that point. ugh!

Alright home for the night.

My vet sent me on a wild goose chase for OTC urinary healthy food for dogs, which apparently doesn't exist. Then when I called the desk person wasn't very helpful. I like the doctors but not always so happy with the staff... hrmmm

I did get my car tag tho (was worried cause it took longer than usual) and my conditional approval letter from the bank.

Plus before I left work my boss called to tell me how impressed she was with my work last month. She didn't have time to help manage anything and I did awesome anyways

Amarula? Yeah we have that here tho it's not hard to find. Mellow mushroom makes a "cherry garcia" martini with it that we can duplicate
