Are incentives good for current member add-ons?

We are going to do an 100 point add on sometime in the next year, probably at AKV. Is the $112 - $19 per point incentive right now a good one? How does it compare to the last few incentives?

I haven't been following the current incentives very well in the last several months. We are taking a trip in November and using all the DVC points we have in our use year and next. We actually keep extending the length of our trip as we get closer to the timeframe. If we bought more points now, we could use them for our November trip. But, we can make other arrangments if necessary like renting points. I hate to rent points though when we could use that money to apply toward a DVC purchase.

One more question too. Is the downpayment 10% of the $112 per point
($1120)? Or 10% of the $112 per point - $19 per point ($930)?

The current incentives for AKV are better than the ones they had just before them.

And, I read somewhere that they may be ending in August. No one knows for sure how things will be in the future, but I think if you are 6 months from adding on anyway, I would do it now especially if you feel you need to rent points to make your vacation work.

When I just added on at BLT, my down payment was 10% after the incentives. I used my Disney Visa and got the 6 months, 0% interest on it. I am hoping that I will get the entire amount for that as well, just like I did with my add on in April.

My guide said the downpayment was 10% of the total before the incentive is applied. And he also told me to make a decision about adding on at AKV quickly as he too, heard they would be ending soon. I'm looking at the exact same purchase as you, 100 point add on. Until my guide threw the 125 point option at me for another $2 off per point. Spending way too much time evaluating point charts - lol.
