Are glue guns allowed? Anyone ever bring one on?

Every now and then I find I can think outside the proverbial box :P what kind of costume are you making? Your ghost costume is very creative!!

Pure genius! I am sworn to secrecy, goodness help me if another one shows up! But it is structural in nature and the store bought ones out of material ...well... leave a lot to be desired.
But it is very Disney - not a building though, I told him Mommy isn't an industrial engineer so I will the best I can, I wish it were a building, that I could in my sleep.

Personally, I would think they'd be included in the banned items. Unlike things like hair dryers, glue guns don't have an auto shut off, when they get hot. They just sit there being hot. Wouldn't take much for someone waiting for the gun to heat up to be distracted, and then it's forgotten, or a sudden shift of the ship to knock it over. That could cause a problem.

Good point. I didn't look at it from this angle. One reason why I said I would personally go for it is because I have to think that someone at Disney has considered all the crafty people that sail. Am I naive to think no one at DCL has ever brought up the quesion if glue guns should be allowed onboard or not? A fire would be horrible for sure if one was left unattended and fell onto a flammable. Ugh.

Anyway, it sounds like OP has found a possible velcro solution and that is awesome!

LOL Possible for an Industrial Engineer, not so much me .... but I really do like the idea of one less thing to pack too. I will just be on Auto CAD designing this thing with construction tabs now .. YIPES!
The things we do for Puppy Eyes and Pleeeease.

But taking the duct tape you suggested too :thumbsup2

Totally get it, but hopefully you'll post pictures once you've made it and he's worn it! I didn't want to tell anyone what our family was dressing up as least we saw another flock of seagulls on our cruise--we all went as seagulls from Nemo, much to the chagrin and horror of my 13yo son :D

@belac When do you sail? We will be on the Sept 30 Fantasy Halloween cruise. I'll have to admit...our costumes won't be as creative. But we are all dressing up in what we wanted.

Even if it is taken, it is my understanding that you can get it back at disembarkation, am I wrong? So it wouldn't matter if she brought her nicer one?

No we are October..... Just picked up boxes at office ..... Needed the truck and needed DH
he was like we are doing what???? I get that look from home every Halloween.
I just told him today.
He is used to me doling these Halloween things, 15 years ago I created a 9 foot Witch with smoking Calderon from plywood and stuff. Still use her.

I will report back what happens though and post pics.

I think I saw your pic (or the other family) on here a while ago loved it!
I loooove the gulls too. We live by the beach and they are my fav.... Mine mine mine is so true to form with them. Seagulls here have guts. They will swipe a hotdog from your hand walking on the pier

I love watching the tourists, they feed them bread and then the gulls come back for the rest of their lunch....
I think of that part in Nemo every time, and yeah confession I laugh a little every time I see the attack.

Nope, that was us:P Loved how into it my 6'3 dad was (we've not taken him on a Disney-anything since I was in college because he made the trip so miserable *LOL*. He actually had a really great time so he might be invited to future Disney trips  )

Correct -- any item confiscated will be available for pick-up on debarkation. Unless the item is illegal.

Enjoy your cruise!
