Are electronic games (Gameboy, Leapster) allowed on planes?

I have flown several times but I guess this issue has never come up. We are traveling with three kids and didn't know if these devices (Gameboy, Leapster, V-Pocket Smile) were even allowed to be carried on to planes and if the kids are allowed to play with them during flight.

Electronic games definitely are allowed on the plane. Like all electronic devices they'll need to be turned off during take off and landing, but otherwise are just fine.
