So I am in the works of buying a resale, against my husbands wishes. He agreed to check it out without signing anything. I know he will love it when we get there. Just wondering if I book at SSR using our points are the CM's going to blow my cover ? Do they do anything special ?

Are you currently a DVC owner, and this SSR contract wil be an add-on? Are you staying on points, or renting directly from Disney?

Remember, if staying on points, your room key will say "DVC Member" and you'll have limited housekeeping. Those are really the only differences, though, between "owners" and people who rent for cash directly through Disney.

So are you saying you purchased a contract without your DH's consent? Do you actually own the contract, or have you rented points from someone? If the reservation was made with points, it will indeed say "DVC member" on your key card. As far as guests being treated differently than members...There is no difference in any reservation made with points. All point reservations will have the same treatment as far as housekeeping etc. goes. If you are a renter, you will not be entitled to the member discount perks, but you will have all the regular perks of staying on-site.

Yes I actually bought 150pts at SSR without DH permission. Just waiting for ROFR. He said no way I am not buying a timeshare, I tried to explain the pts and he said he does not care about pts. He kind of threw out that he makes the decisions since he makes more $ !
Anyway, we are vacation people at least once or twice a yr so this will work for us, and the DS and DD are young so we have many WDW trips ahead of us. DH agreed to check it out. :confused3
