Ive been reading that a few of the excursions go until after 5pm. How can Disney possibly have dining at 530 when people are just arriving back? Isnt that a little rushed?

My thoughts exactly! I plan to keep watching these boards pretty carefully and if it looks like those dining times are going to be permanent will be making a seating change request asap!

This is one reason I booked late seating on our trip next June, although I know these times are a "test" there is no way I'd want to eat at 5:30! If it gets switched back I might try to get early seating later. Another reason to check the boards!!:)

I know - when I booked the CM asked if we again wanted the early seating, for some odd reason I even asked if that was 6 pm and was told it was. We've always liked the early because we could then go to the show and other activities after dinner.

Hey Robin - Which June date?

After our excursion in Cozumel, I literally had to run back to the ship to get myself and dd (3yr old) showered and dressed. She wanted to go eat with the kids and she had to be back in the club at 5:15. I also ran up the three flight of stairs. I know next time we will be taking the second seating.

DH and I did late seating on our 3-day cruise/4-day park combo in 2000, and it worked out so we weren't rushed to get ready for dinner. We HATE feeling rushed on a vacation, and want to do just what weplease because it's our time to enjoy. We don't splurge on Disney cruises every day, so we try not to overschedule ourselves so we have a better time. We're doing late seating again on our Eastern 7-day on 9/7 this year for the same reason -- to have a stress-free vacation.

I can't believe the three flights of stairs, sdoane. How awful.

:(

Early seating was a problem for us on our 11-01 cruise. For our next cruise 03-04, we will book late seating:)

We just booked our Wes. 7/5/03 cruise and was told 6 pm not 5:30. I know it's only 30 minutes but I would have not taken the 5:30. We took the 6 pm again. My kids prefer the shows after dinner and relax. We can always switch to a later time if we had to.
