Just a note on the Patricia style - I love my Cleos and have many times worn them all day long in the parks without a problem...the first day I wore my Patricias I had to ice my ankles and shins and elevate my feet for an hour before bed...I quit wearing them and iced the next 2 nights as well, but the pain had gone away by the end of the week when I was pretty much exclusively wearing the Cleos.

If you get the Patricia try to wear them all day one day when you will be on your feet - I can wear them part of a day if I'm not walking too much without a problem. It was just the 10 hour day at WDW that did me in....test them out first!! I would have been in serious trouble in a couple days if that had been my only shoe.

I bought a pair of Crocs a few months before we left for our vacation to break them in for the parks. Once we arrived, I tried them at Animal Kingdom and they killed me. They rubbed my feet on the tops and scarred them up pretty good. I wore tennis shoes without any problems the remainder of the vacation.

I wore my Florence Crocs at WDW. Very comfortable but I still got 2 blisters. I managed them with the band aid blister advanced healing bandages. I will try the flip flop kind next time and see if I have better luck.

I wear Croc flip flops and they are very good for the parks. I formerly ware tennis shoes solely but have move to the Croc flip flops now, the comfort and feather light weight being the major reasons.

mickeymyfavorite - I love my CROC flip flops!

I just bought my DD the Wave Flip Flops for our Nov. trip. I hope they are comfortable like the Cleos. She wanted to try something new and I don't want her stealing my Cleos :)

My foot slides forward and squishes my toes - how do people deal with that??

Are you talking about in the clogs? I sort of felt like that too when I tried them on. Like it was too wide in the toe part which I thought was weird because I actually have wide feet anyway but it was wider than I needed.

They are extremely comfortable for Disney but only with socks and only clog style. IMO! I think the texture and feel of the shoe is extremely odd against bare feet, and is more likely to cause chafing. But against a pair of socks, those little weird bumps feel heavenly.

I wear no-show socks with mine. Crocs DO come in neutral colors, and a pair of tan or white croc clogs look no less fashionable than the average pair of Nikes, really. Although I maintain that at an amusement park, no one is judging you based on your footware.

They're also very convenient for sudden rainstorms, walking through fountain paths, and water rides; while others are sloshing around in soaking wet sneakers or tripping in their slippery flip-flops, your crocs will already be dry. :thumbsup2

To be fair, it's not comfortable ...for YOU and some others. But the hype is coming from all the people that DO think they are the best things for their feet. It cannot be ignored that tehy work for a huge number of people. All the people at my kids' pediatricians and dentists use them and the ones I've asked have all said the LOVE them to be on their feet all day.
I dont mind what works for me not working for others, but saying blanket statements like "they aren't all that" and "too much hype" is ignoring evidence. It's just YOUR experice, not an over-all assessment as it reads.
;)

the same could be said of the croc lover's...right?

I agree with the socks part...i don't care how funny it looks, i wear socks with mine. actually, i don't wear any shoes or sneakers without socks.

My Dr actually "recommended" them for me a couple of years ago as I have so many problems with my feet, knees and hips from rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. I have been wearing them ever since, and if I try and put on a regular pair of shoes, they feel tight and awful, even if they fit right after my Crocs wearing so long. He wears Crocs and so do all his nurses and the other girls who work in the office. They all claim their feet have never felt better after those long days.:thumbsup2

Me too, arthritis (osteo). And I love my crocs with socks :) I am glad they work for you too. The only time I was not happy with them was last week when I had to slog though a foot of flood water...once I got on dry land my feet slipped inside the shoes so badly I found it difficult to walk...that was the first time I ever wore them without socks and I only did it because I had to walk through all that water! Next time I'll just get the socks wet!

I always wear Crocs love 'em. As soon as the bottoms start wearing down I whip out a new pair. They get dangerously slippery when the bottoms start to wear, also a personal issue, my feet especially heels get sore when they wear down. So I always have new ones on hand, i'll go through 2 and start on a 3rd pair over a summer. worth it for me, can't beat the comfort!:)

I voted yes, but if there is a wet spot on the ground I tend to slip. I never fall, but have come close.

My little sister wore her Crocs around the parks last year and found them very comfortable.

Thx for the poll! We love our crocs but were worried about wearing them for the trip to Disney at the end of the month... this has made us re-visit wearing them (though dh is worried about how dirty our feet could get with the "models" we have)

I may be of the minority, but I wore my crocs last trip for the first day and within hours....my feeet were in SUCH pain from blisters. I tried them again the next day with socks, which worked better but it was too hot for socks! So then I wore my flip flops the rest of time (they are REALLY comfy nike ones). So just wanted to add my two cents.

Wore my Crocs Modi flip flops and they were heaven in the park. Bought a new pair to wear for our upcoming trip in 9 days, and think I will get my kids some too.

Yes it can. :thumbsup2 The lovers though have the benefit of back-up data in the form of Crocs sales and how they've been adopted into workplaces where people are on their feet all-the-time.

i just want to tell you that i went last yr for the first time and people had advice me on taking comfortable shoes. Im not a sneakers person, I live in TX and for the most part we can get away w/ wearing flip flops 10 months out of the yr. I loved flip flops and thats what I took but also bought me a pair of skechers. Unfortunately the flip flops did not work out and the skechers hurt because they were new and had not broken them in so I bought me a pair of Mickey Mouse crocs, love love love them. Im one of those people that thinks no one under the age of 9 looks good wearing crocs but I now know why they wear them. They are so freaking comfortable. I wear everywhere now and cant wait to keep me another pair when I go back cuz I do want the Mickey ones.
they also sell them or did at Hllmark Gold Crown stores but they won't be FROM Disney..

Just went to the croc store (45 miles away) today to get myself 2 new pairs and since they were running a buy 2 get 1 free so I picked DH up a new pair too.

For our april trip I actually went through our pics to see how many days someone actually wore sneakers. out of 9 days, 4 days have someone wearing sneakers. 2 at the beginning and 2 at the end.

I am debating if we should take sneakers along for our upcoming trip or just wear crocs.

I used to wear crocs a few years ago but gave them up as ugly. However after reading about crocs on the boards I pulled them out for my Disney trip in may. I wore my Nike shox the first day and my feet hurt even though they were well broken in. So I switched to my crocs. My feet felt so light and cool. Almost like I wasn't wearing shoes at all. I did wear socks with them *horrors of horrors!* but I never got a blister the whole time and my feet only hurt minimally just from standing all day. Not from shoes rubbing or squeezing.
