Are AP rates available on campsites?

This may be a question for the codes and rates board, but since you all are the campsite experts..........
Thanks!

My experience last year was they were few and far between. Others reported being able to get the discounts. If you do not already have the AP, secure your ressie then get the AP if you are successful (if that is the only reason you will purchase the AP anyway).

I have not been able to get an ap discount for our April trip nor our June-Aug trip. I called late last night and nothing. However, last summer I did get the ap rate (about $55.00 per night w/tax) for the whole 6 weeks we were there. I did have to book it in 10 day intervals. It was a major pain in the you know what to go back to the front every 10 days to "re-check" in, but the savings were well worth it. They did not ever make me move the camper. Stayed in site 1702 all summer!

Thanks, but the 6 weeks last year was just a "trial run". This year I booked for 8 weeks! :rotfl:

Oh, there is some serious envy going on here in my house right now!!! ::yes::

OK, I think I'm going to puke now. We're not even going for one week this year! AND, you go most of it solo with a brood of kids don't you?

There are some AP rates, but sometimes, the AAA rate is better than the AP rate. Last year I had AP rate for the first week in August, then kept my AAA rate for the second week as it was better (by just a couple of $) than the AP rate. The trip[ was broken in 2 weeks, because of the change from high to value season.

Yes, I have dd 11, ds 9, dd 8, dd 7 and dd4. I also have another ds 19, who comes down with a friend twice during my stay. He hates being "grown up" and being a full time employee. :rotfl2: My dear, sweet husband is more than willing to tow the fifth wheel down there and set it up for us. He states something about the house being more quiet when we are gone? :confused3 I also have my parents there 3 to 4 weeks in their motor home. Usually some of the kids crash with them, but we are night owls and my mom loves to wake them up early after a 2:00 a.m. closing at the MK. I also do get "alone" time while they are there, so it is not too bad.
