Are all restaurants asking for CC# on Mother's Day?

I just called to make dinner reservations for 7:30pm at Jiko's on Mother's Day and they required a credit card for a ps. I was wondering if most restaurants are requiring a credit card for that night. Also, I forgot to ask how much they charge if you had to cancel within the 48 hours prior. Does anyone know? My husband might make me call and cancel, he hates having dinner written in stone. I've had to call and cancel ps in the afternoon of the day a couple times in the past because we got stuck somewhere or didn't feel like eating a big meal.

WDW dining now requires a CC to hold a reservation on any holiday. If you do not cancel 48 hours prior, you will be charged $10 per person for not showing up.

Thanks for the info. We have never just not shown up for a ps. But we have canceled that day or the day before a couple times. I guess that I better talk to DH about this. He may want to wing it instead.

I wouldn't recommend winging it on a holiday. You might end up with a long wait, or nowhere to eat, except counter service.

I too had to give CC info for Princess breakfast in Norway on Mother's Day. It was the only PS available during our stay so I reluctantly gave my info. We have canceled PS's on short notice in the past for various reasons. I sure do hope we can make it to this one.

On Mothers Day without a PS you'll be turned away from most of the more popular restaurants.

We have a PS for Jiko on Mother's Day and we did not have to give a CC number. We made the PS months ago. I am going to have to call and confirm just in case something is wrong. I really want to eat here and my DH does not so I am playing the Mother's Day card to get to go!
