just getting in the disney mood and want to book our room for 2006 now. I know there is no way AP rates are out, but are AAA rates out yet for 2006?

I just called WDW reservations when i got this reply and was told that they are not out yet. I tried two different times as well. :confused3

Third Times a charm.......Was quoted Pop room at $84/night + Tax

Port Orleans room at $131/night + Tax

thanks!!

We had to call twice to get the AAA room only rate. The first time we talked to a very very sweet CM and we asked her to check on AAA rates for us. She said she didn't think they were out yet, but would check for us, paused, then told us they were not out yet.

The next time we called (almost as soon as we hung up the first time), we got another really nice CM who happily said he'd check and immediately said "yep, they're out" and gave us the AAA rate of $111 per night (without tax) for Port Orleans French Quarter standard view for Jan 2-8. Whew. I am just SO glad I got it.

What number do you call to get these AAA rates at the Disney Resorts?

Thanks!

I just called central reservations and asked if they had AAA rates in computer yet. The first two said no, but the third said yes and quoted my price. The number is 1-800-828-0228.

We are in the process of planning a trip in mid-April 2006 and could use some help. Currently, we are considering either staying at a value or moderate... or might get points to stay at a DVC.

I'm wondering how prices would compare between AP and AAA during that time (april 6-14th). I will likely end up getting an AP because we are planning to go back again in October. From previous posts, I'm guessing me might could get the following:

AAA - Moderate (PORS, POFQ) for around $112/night
AAA - Value for around $80-90/night
AP - PORS, POFQ?
AP - Value (60's?/night)?
***Since it will be 3 adults, we'd have that additional surcharge of 10-15 per night.

Also, can you get the dining plan, etc... if you use AP discount or do you have to get the DDE instead?

I have figured up approximate DVC rates for points for April 9-14th and we'd stay somewhere else for the 6th-8th (I'll be there for a business conference thru the 5th, so I might end up staying with some of my family that lives in the area and then everyone could fly in on 9th). We still have lots of planning to do!

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions! :goodvibes

The mod rate that was posted was for value season. First 3 weeks of April are Peak season and will be quite a bit higher.

It appears that the AAA discounts are following the same pattern they have in the past, but I'm not positive about that. Here are the typical discounts in the past(copied from Mousesavers):
During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Peak Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.
The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas).

And here are the rack rates(including tax) and seasons for 2006:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/Rack-Rates-2006.htm

So it looks like that mod is probably going to be around $165/night during peak season with a AAA discount and including tax.

Hrmm... so unless AP discount is much better...
looks like even the value resort for 3 adults on the AAA rate would be around $120/night (including tax).

Why in the world did they schedule this conference during PEAK season!!! :confused3

Just booked ASMo for our Feb trip (falls during Peak season). With AAA discount, standard room went from $115/night to $97/night (w/out taxes). Tax included the AAA-discounted rate was $109 and change.

I came up with the same price from both AAA agent and Disney CRO for POP, standard room, from 1/2/06-1/16/06: $63/night + tax with AAA discount (or $70.25/night including tax).

Just called and received AAA rates for CR and WL for June of 2006. I didn't write down the price per night  but for seven nights during regular season (6/3/06-6/10/06) is as follows:

CR Tower MK View: $2982 w/tax
CR Bay Lake View: $2740 w/tax
CR Garden Water Wing: $2279 w/tax

WL Standard: $1748 w/tax
WL Woods: $1928 w/tax
WL Courtyard: $2178 w/tax

Now for a question: If I decide to book a room only ressie through AAA where is the cheapest place to purchase my tickets? I'm looking for a seven day park-hopper with plusses (what are they called these days?). AAA quotes a price of $895, are there any cheaper alternatives?

Does anyone know if the AAA discounts have been released for all of 2006 or just the first few months? We'd like to book a trip for the later part of the year but were wondering if the discounts are out for then yet.
