Timeshare Titles & More is the transfer agent, I believe. The name of the broker got ****'d out by the DIS word filter, but if they are one of the four primary
DVC brokers, they likely have been in this business for many years, and are reputable.
You should also know that all Florida real estate brokers and title companies (including DVD/DVC itself) are regulated by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation under Florida's very stringent timeshare laws. You can go to MyFlorida.com (which, believe it or not, is the official Florida state government website) and then go to the DBPR page. There, you will be able to search for either real estate brokers or title agencies and see for yourself whether they have any complaints against them.
Florida law stipulates that your cashiers check be deposited into an escrow account until closing and no distributions will be made from those funds until everything is in perfect order. That's what you are paying closing costs for -- to protect you under the law.
When you go back to the bank,
thank them for asking that question. There ARE numerous timeshare scams, but not with transactions like you are going through. Your bank has your back, and you should appreciate their due diligence.
