But really, my 14 year old son is the size of a man, and is really into weight lifting. If his father or I go to the gym with him, is he allowed to use the equipment?

Does the Vibe ever go to the gym? We will be on the 4-night Magic cruise in about 8 days!

Unfortunately 14 year Olds are not allowed in the gym normally. On some cruises the Vibe kids can go to the gym, but I don't believe it is every day and it is just for, a small period of time.

And, on some cruises, they do schedule "teen time" in the gym. But, from what I've read, it's either during late dinner seating or, at least, late at night. And not every night.

Sorry if they allow one they will have to allow all of them. There should be a place for teenagers to go to lift weights and exercise but unfortunately there is none. When I was that age I lift weights I had to do it every other day.

It's my understanding those types of activities get planned on the first night during the icebreakers and plan-your-cruise session. He'll want to make sure he goes to the Vibe for that after the 2nd dinner seating (the time will be noted on your Navigator). If those interests aren't made known at that time, it's unlikely to be planned.

He could also do lots of body weight exercises on the deck 4 promenade. He could do lunges around the entire jogging track for legs. Also there are large wooden boxes, (@PrincessShmoo do you have a pic?), that have life jackets in them that he can do dips, angled push ups, lateral jumps, etc. There is plenty of space for doing these types of things if he wants to stay in a quasi training mode.
