I mentioned that I believed the "gap" between FP distribution and return time was going to be eliminated, so there wouldn't be a morning window to do standby with a shorter wait because FP wasn't "returning" yet.
Found proof:
FP distribution may not change, although FP+ might allow for "immediate" FP+ if available at the time.
That screenshot would have been from a testing phase anyways, and does not indicate how it will be in practice...especially since the number of people participating in the test was relatively small.
You're wrong.
Seriously? Please explain.
You consistently deny evidence in order to support what you want to be true. It will not be true and you will be proven wrong and it's just a matter of time. I'm not going to argue with you, I'm just going to wait and it'll happen on its own. I do wish you'd not confuse people or give them false hopes or ya know, ruin their vacations by telling them not to plan ahead for what is inevitably coming.

You stated exactly what you wanted in the other thread:
No discontinuation of FP.
No FP+ selection "groups" that force guests not to pick nothing but e-tickers.
FP is being discontinued and there will be groups that are intended to prevent guests from getting FP+ for all the headliners in a given park at once.
You are required to convert paper tickets and passes in order to make and use FastPass+ selections. Once you convert a ticket or pass you will no longer be able to participate in the standard FASTPASS service upon arrival at the parks.
if there is to be nothing offered but fastpass+ why did they include this in the terms and restrictions.![]()
OP has said that during a transition period, both FP and FP+ will be options, but eventually it will be FP+ only.
Ok, so really there is no way to know when and if anything will change. As with all things Disney, wait and see.
Ah, but we have discovered much from these threads. I understand quite a bit right now, I know the direction things are going, there are a few paths Disney can take, but we have probably mentioned them. The app and term and conditions are enlightening. There are a few curveballs coming, but I am prepared for the best and the worst.
I do think it matters to have at least speculation. I needed to make a decision about buying the DVC PAP for $399.00 before jan 1. I was ready to invest $1600.00. But because of this peak into the what ifs, I feel I made the correct decision and not purchase. Disney was encouraging me to invest in the next year but keeping their cards close to their vest.
I have two trips coming up this year, I can go to wdw, universal, or both on either trip. I would like to know more before I invest in something so costly.
If the park truly become FP+ only, I can't see us going any more. We are not super planners and trying to plan a handful of passes so rigidly and then waiting in regular lines for the rest just seems like a nightmare. I hope that anyone saying this is wrong.
Plus I know that it is hard for many to conceive that people do not have smart phones, or pads, but many don't.
I personally don't. I just can not see this being very user friendly to all the snowbirds, grandparents that take the grand kids to the parks.
Will you be able to access it on a standard PC or laptop?
Plus the OP keeps referring to info on the website about the number of passes for resort guests, etc. I have read the new website over and over and I see none of this info referred to. Is everyone else seeing it.![]()
