AP's Not out yet

I just called, no AP rates as of 7:25 ET. The woman I spoke with said she gets thousands of calls a day asking for these rates. I was told that they had a marketing meeting on Wednesday and she specifically asked when the AP rates would be released. They were told if anything was to be released it would be in the next Mickey Monitor for May. I have just purchased our AP vouchers so I don't believe I will be getting the May MM. Does anyone know when this is expected to be published? Thanks.

Oh no AP's do talk!!!!! Mine talk to me on a regular basis! Let's go to disney, it's time to go to Disney, I want to go to Disney! I've even tried putting them in the lock box at the bank!

So what happens if you're already down at WDW when the rates are released. I read somewhere that the Monitor is usually out around May 1. Can your rate be adjusted at checkin? or after you've checked in, if you don't find out about it until check in?

I think if they wait for the next MM, the rates will be for the summer, they are usually not effective immediately when they are in the MM. They put them in the MM to get people to plan an extra trip.

That's what I figured. The Monitor comes out May 1. So those rates will probably be after that. And most people don't even get their monitors. I find everything out on these boards or I call CRO every day.

Lizzie, I believe you can get your rate while you are down there if you know about it and it is available. I added days on to a trip at the AP rate at the front desk while I was there.

I think I posted this already but this thread is getting so long I am not gonna go back and check.:D

I called CRO at 7:45 a.m. (MST) and was told that there were no AP discounts posted past 4/9 at this time. A very kindly gentleman made me feel a little better by telling me that the rate I have on Boardwalk is $200 under rack rate at this time. He said to check back in a couple of days but not because he suspected anything would be released then - just check back.

What is your rate for Boardwalk? I thought the max on the current codes was $100 off.

i just called cro to see if i culd get a standard view room at wl for my june 11-16 trip using the postcard i got. they only had woods view and courtyard views available which i can't afford so i'm sticking w/por. i did ask the cm about ap rates and she checked to see if anything was in the computer. she said not for the time i'm going, but they should be out after easter. who knows? that could be true though b/c the code rates and postcards expire the sat after easter. for my own sanity i hope they come out soon!

My rate on the BWI for 4/29 - 5/4 is $229. I was told rack rate was $429 for the same room. We paid over $400 for a garden view a couple of years ago on a last minute trip. We have gotten better rates than $229 before though.

March of 2000 during Spring Break time we were able to get the Poly (Garden view) for $189 a night. I doubt I'll ever see that kind of prices again but even $200 a night wouldn't be quiet so bad.

I guess I should be happy with $94 a night at the CBR but we have also been on the receiving end of $49 a night at All Star Movies before and at that time I could have stayed for $74 a night at CBR or $129 Garden Wing CR.:o :o :o

Oh well guess we can't do anything but wait and wait and wait some more :(

I don't know if this is a sign or not, but there is a new deal on the Disney Visa site. Dream Maker Packages, 3 nights or more, from 5/26/03 to 7/3/04 and AKL from 7/4/03 to 8/23/03. Sounds like they are moving on and skipping most of May.

Wow,

Well you may be right. That would really stink for all of us that chose May. Between that and no spectro or fireworks, I may never go back. I planned this trip for almost 250 days now. My disney non believer MIL is coming with us. She nearly flipped when I told her we were doing disney again this year, but said she'd come anyway.

Now all I hear is "I told you so".

Wait till I tell her there may not be AP rates for MAY. I'm definitely going to need earplugs.
