I've been reading that Annual Passes are good for 15 months now. Does anyone know if that's true? Is this a promotion ? If it's true, does this apply to the DVC AP as well? TIA

I belive this was only for renewals, I would be happy if they would just make them 13 months, it would keep me from having to shift forward my vacations when I use an AP for 2 summer tris in 2 consecutive years

This is for APs that are renewed 30 days before or after the expiration date. This promotion will expire in Aug 2010.

There is also a promotion for FL residents who purchase a new AP (except Epcot After 4 Pass) it will be valid for 15 months. This promotion expires 12/31/2009.

Okay, so where can I learn more about this? Our APs expire January 20th, and we were trying to decide if we wanted to start using the new vouchers we bought this summer for our March trip or just buy 10 day passes for that trip, since we don't plan to take another trip next year. If this means I can renew my current AP after January 20th, will I have through April 2011 to use the renewed pass? If so, that's a much better deal, and I'll just hang onto the vouchers I have and wait to use them in 2012.

This is what is posted on the passholder website:
Grab 15 Months of Magic for the Price of 12!

Great news! Passholders are now able to renew passes* at the special renewal rate AND get 3 additional months — that's 15 months of Disney magic for the price of 12. What a way to save!

Think of the many reasons why being an Annual Passholder is so special. Enjoy Passholder perks like Disney Resort hotel offers, merchandise discounts and exclusive Passholder events. Perhaps you attended the Passholder sneak peek of Disney's Tinker Bell movie or a special tour of the Cinderella Castle Suite. More Passholder special events are coming your way!

One of the great benefits of being a Passholder is that you can take your time in the theme parks without feeling rushed to see and do everything in one day. Passholders love the leisure to discover everything the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, and visit favorite attractions again and again.

Relive your most magical Walt Disney World memories and create new ones. From now to August 31, 2010, simply renew by your anniversary date, or up to 30 days after, so you can lock in your 15 months. Your renewal expires 15 months after your original anniversary date, so don't miss out on the magic—renew today!

*Offer not valid on Epcot After 4 Annual Pass. Expiring pass requred for renewal. Savings based on the non-discounted first time purchase price of the same pass. Excludes activities/events separately priced.

I renewed mine in August, it was supposed to expire on 8/31/09 my new one expires on 12/1/10. I wasn't going to renew and I was just going to buy a new pass in October since I have a trip next October but with the extra 3 months I renewed. If your pass expires on January 20 and you renew, it will expire on or about April 20th

Ours expired 10/26, I renewed online before the price increase in early Aug and got and online voucher that I just took to GR when we were down there in Oct and got the 3 month extension, they expire 1/26/11. Yippy. love this

Bummer, we'll be purchasing our first AP with our first visit home to BLT in March. It looks like the promotion will end before we can renew.

We are in the same boat. Here is to hoping for an extension on the promotion! :thumbsup2

They say it's only for renewals, but I turned in an AP voucher for a new AP in September and got the 15 months, too.

:cool1:

Wow, that was a nice piece of magic. I will be purchasing my DH's new pass in a few weeks and it would be great if that happened to him!!!
