I will going to WDW April 15-18, 2005. Can anyone tell me how is the weather and the crowds going to be? Thanks :cool1:

The weather this time of year is very nice. Highs are in the 70's - 80's and nights are very comfortable. Crowds can be high this time of year due to high school and college spring breaks, so beware of possible high crowds.

Have a great trip! :)

I'm curious about this too. Easter is in March this year, so would most springbreaks be over by then?

Spring Break on Long Island is April 23-30 during Passover...and not every school has a full week off...so the crowds might be a bit lighter than usual....

I am headed down that week!! Can't wait!!

Good Morning,

This will be our third April driving down the WDW. :cool1: The weather is heavenly...not too hot and we have never had much rain. We have never had problems with crowds. I believe Florida does not an April vacation at the same time as the New England States. We always seem to meet people from Mass, Conn, RI and some from England.

I cannot wait to be warm in Florida :cold:
Enjoy

We usually go the last two weeks of April. Only once was it chilly and that was at night. Cold enough that I needed to wear long pants and a jacket. The other years I still brought long pants and a jacket, but never wore them. Our favorite time to go.
The crowds can get high but very managable.

We normally go in Sept, but we are going April 5-8 this year. The Sept 2004 hurricanes cancelled our plans last year. Most Spring Breaks are the week(s) prior to the time we've allotted to go............so I hope I haven't jinxed our vacation. I saw that it is considered "peak" time, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't all that "peak"

I'm going with the hubby and my 4 year old. We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge again, so I'm betting this year will be a huge blast for my 4 year old :cheer2:

Yes - my dd's school is off that week too, and we'll be there for a few days - actually going to West Palm Beach for a week, but driving to WDW for 3 days midweek. Hope it's not too crazy!! We decided to go for the Poly since we won't be there that long and the monorail is a great timesaver.

Last year in early April, it was too cold for us to swim and also it got cold at night, we needed sweatshirts. Just keep that in mind when packing!

According to my book "Unofficial Guide to WDW 2005" Those days you are going would be a level "4". The levels range from 1-10 as 10 being the crowdest. Therefore the crowd level shouldn't be bad. The weather normally is mid 80's.

We are going April 25-29.

We'll be taking our twins for their birthday which is on the 28th. We'll be there fom apr. 25th-29th. Hope the crowds are decent. We figured easter happens in march it should be ok. :confused3 I hope so.

How's the crowds the first week in April? (With Easter in March this year I'm hoping it won't be to bad)

Thanks!

Lori

Sounds good to me! Are the pools at the Disney Water Parks heated?- because I don't like swimming if they water is really cold, especially if it isn't too hot out. Thanks, I'm hoping for low crowds and an awesome trip :earseek:

We are going (first time ) April 23-30. In Upstate NY Spring break is the week BEFORE . I am taking DS out of school. I figured that would be better. Now that I have booked, I found out that it's Grad Week. Hopefully won't be bad though. hopefully they will sleep all day and be up all night, while we are up early lol!

So I guess we shall see how it goes...

ME TOO!!! DH and I are headed down April 17th-22nd for a spur of the moment trip. We usually go every September, but this year my parents are taking us to Vegas (our first time) and Disney was not on the list. Well, after finding out that everyone I meet seems to be headed to WDW, I told him I wanted to go too. I really can't wait. How many more days ?!?!? :goodvibes :hourglass

Hi Heidi:
You have made my day! We always go during the summer, but this year decided to go during April vacation! Maybe we will see you there--we are from Reading!

Corinne,

We love April.....the kids never seem to complain about the heat. We are staying at Cypress Pointe and are counting the minutes..well days!! :cool1:
Have a safe trip!

What is your past experience with crowds in late April?

:earboy2:

Apparently there is a large section in the East that has school off the last week of April. So looks like from what I'm seeing on this board there is alot of people going to WDW. I did not know this prior to booking our trip or I would have went another time.
