Hi all,

This is my first post here, but I have been lurking for awhile. My boyfriend and I are going to Disney World April 7 through the 12. I am a first grade teacher, so we have to go during my spring break. I am a little nervous about the crowds, but we will get through it.

We are staying at POR. I have a couple questions. What is the weather like in Disney in April? I am trying to think of what type of clothes I should pack.. Also, what are the best kinds of shoes to wear to the parks? I am not a big tennis shoes fan and would like to wear some sort of comfy sandal..

Any suggestions? I have looked on the TEVA and CROCS websites.

Thanks for any help!! We are so excited.

I wore tevas the first day I was there and my feet really hurt after a long day of walking. They may be perfectly fine for you, but bring a good pair of sneakers as a backup just in case your feet need support the rest of the week. I ended up wearing my sneakers everywhere for the rest of the week!

And you will love POR!!-Even if the parks are busy, POR is sooo quiet and peaceful. Hang out by a quiet pool with some mudslides and pina coladas. Have fun!

we were there last year apr 2-8, and the weather was PERFECT!! Never too hot (well, ok, when we had to wait for the 3o'clock parade which really starts at 3:30, standing in the direct sun was hot). Nights were a bit cooler, we usually wore light jackets and long pants. The crowd levels were awesome, but then easter was earlier last year. We walked right onto most rides and others only waited 20 minutes tops. At one point we were the only ones around at MGM in the middle of the afternoon...it was spooky.
The sandals I wore the entire trip (we averaged 8 miles a day per our pedometer) were Earth Shoe sandals from WalMart. One day I wore my sneakers and thought I might die, my feet hurt so badly. (alright, a bit of an exaggeration, but the sandals proved way more comfortable).
We stayed at Pop, so I can't help you there, but Pop rocks. We had a blast. Dude, it's Disney...if you don't have fun there you're probably dead. Or close to it. ;)

We will be there the week after you  I plan on T shirt during the day with a sweatshirt and maybe a light windbreaker. I recommend Keen sandals, My family wore them (new) to Mexico last year and they were great!

We'll be there the same week, CSR:banana: and this will be our third Spring Break / Easter trip to WDW. Every trip so far has been perfect! I hope I'm not jinxing myself but it was always sunny:cool2: and 80-85 degrees! You will see the occasional thunderstorm, but they roll through pretty quickly.

We bring summer wear for the days and pack one pair of slacks/jeans and a sweatshirt for chilly (50-60 degrees) evenings. IMHO April is the best month for Florida; great weather, flowers in bloom and no hurricanes!

See you there!!!!!:woohoo:
