April, May, June AP Watch. Let's Get it Started

I read that the WDW resorts occupancy has improved significantly in recent months. I believe that December 03 was the busiest December at WDW on record. We had trouble booking a room for the first week of May with a AAA discount, so I believe them when they say that they are 40% booked for the year. We are not holding out much hope that a code will be available when we are going to be there. If one does come out, then we will upgrade. We would love to go back to the Poly, but this year we will be staying at WL to save money and to try another resort. We will see what happens when and if a code comes out.

:earsgirl:
HI, NEW TO THIS SITE, FIND IT GREAT, BUT NOT FAMILIAR WITH ABBREVIATIONS--WHAT'S AP DISCOUNT-GOING TO WDW IN LATE JUNE SHOULD I WAIT TO BOOK FOR DISCOUNTS? THANKS

AP is Annual Pass Discount.

You should make your reservation now and then call back if AP Rates come out for your date and have them modify your reservation. This way, you'll for sure have a room.

I have reservation at Pop Century for April 14-April 23. I called on Thursday and asked about AP rates. She came back and gave me a $350 discount. I didn't ask but wouldn't that be the price for the entire stay. Hope that helps.

My husband called last night and spoke to a knowledgeable CM--what a change of pace! She said she wouldn't look for late April, May, and June APs until after 4/17--the end of the latest release. It's really what I pretty much expect to happen given the history of APs--with the exception of just post-9/11, these rates are usually only released a couple of months at a time.

Of course, I've been surprised before. . . :wave2:

Hi guys,
I talked to a CM this morning and she said to look for them late Feb. or March for June APs.
She also said that when they come out that they will be posted on the APs section of disney.com.
You have to put in the no. on the back of your AP to get to it though.
She sounded like she really knew what she was talking about.
Time will tell.

Sounds like different Cast Memebers different answers. Only time will tell. I guess I am going to make my ressies at AKL or CR and wait and see if AP rates become available. If they do then i will upgrade to Poly or GF depending on the percentage of discount.
ADP

No discount news here, but I just have to report on the CM I talked to yesterday. (background: I checked the AP discount thread for Jan. visits all the time before the marathon, and remember so many people who talked to "unhelpful" CM's)

I made my ressie for WL for late May yesterday. The CM was so forthcoming with helpful questions and info!! She looked into many types of rooms for me, actually ASKED if I was an AP holder (but I guess she got that from the Jan. ressie), told me without my asking that the rates aren't out yet, but to keep checking, and even advised me that the VWL rooms/suites are less likely to get a good AP discount than rooms at WL! I so enjoyed talking with her and getting my reservation taken care of!!! :Pinkbounc

And I'm not going to stress too much about discounts...though of course I would like to save money on the room, my AP already paid for itself with my stay in January! yay!!

Sigh...I couldn't hold out anymore. I called WL and booked for 5/24 to 5/28...still there were no AP disc yet. The CM was nice, she told me to call back and check every now and again...and I can change my ressies around.

For now, the ressies are for WL (woods view)...I'm hoping for the codes b/c the rate is $283 p/n (tax incld)...and that's kinda steep.

C'mon w/ the codes!!!! :( :( :(
I'm so impatient...I know...:hyper: :hyper:

I just wanted to see my countdown! The current AP rates must be booked by next week--any chance we'll see new codes then??? We need some heavy-duty pixie dust!!!

Katie....
The current room only codes need to be booked by 2/9 not AP rates.
The book by date for AP rates is 4/17 which is the last day they are good.
Lets keep the pixie dust floating and maybe some will make it to the right people and good codes will come our way.

Lori

There goes my hope for next week... Thanks for the info, though. I got all excited when I saw the codes for Ft. Wilderness, and thought more would be coming. I'm actually hoping more for codes that are available to anyone. I'm not an AP holder, but I'd certainly be willing to get one if the codes are good!::MinnieMo (My DD is sitting on my lap--she wanted to see Minnie Mouse!)

Please some good AP rates would be just what the doctor ordered after this winter! Wilderness lodge coutyard view 5/14.

SAVE DISNEY..Bring back the Magic!

I am also praying. Husband has a conference at the Marriott Center in June. Work will reimburse us $149 a night no matter WHERE we stay (because that's the conference rate for the Marriott)... Dh wants to stay right at the Marriott, but I am holding out hope that I can nag him into moving SOMEWHERE on Disney property... This way he can do the 9-5 conference thing and I can be planted on WDW property with the kids. It' just for 4 nights, then we head to the VWL.

I am hoping for a rate close to $149 at WL or AKL. I know it's not likely, but last summer I got WL for $139... I think things have picked up in terms of travel so the rates won't be as good this summer BUT I CAN HOPE!

I think I will go check out Mousesavers to see what the codes were like last summer... :)

Coleen,
You should be able to get the Dolphin for $147.50 per night AAA rate now for June. As you probably already know the Dolphin is right next to EPCOT and the Disney Boardwalk.
Good Luck,
ADP :)

Thanks - Hoosiers know everything! :) I am considering Dolphin/Swan. Dh works for IU and I am trying to figure out if that counts as "government." Kids want AKL but I want to come home with some money still in my pocket...

Need it - want it - gotta get it:cool:

Goin' in May - sure could use a discount!
