Hi,

I am going to Disney World July 23 - 30 for the first time alone, without my family planning everything. Can someone please tell me what the "AP" stand for. I hope it isn't something I missed out on. FYI, I will be staying at the Hyatt Grand Cypress.

AP stands for Annual Pass. Its good for one year from when you activate it and gets you into the four parks. Why we are checking AP rates is Disney (sometimes not always ) offers a discount on reosrt to the people who have an AP. Some of us go more then once a year so the AP works out great for us and some who only go 6 or 7 days may buy the AP instead of a 7 day hopper because they can save some money on their room. Current room only code for reservations for 2/12-4/17 ends on 2/9 I wonder if we will have to wait until that ends to see the next round.

We are getting anxious as well. We hope to be able to go in May to make up for the 25th anniversary we had to cancel last year for two surgeries. Boy am I ready. We NEVER skip a year but had to.

Finally caved and made reservations for DH, DD and myself for 6/25 to 7/3 - splitting time between AKL and YC.

Called today......nothing yet! BUMMER......I am counting down the days(May 17-21) We will be staying at the Poly, I really need a discount! Right now it is 455.00 per night in a LV room. I know I am TOTALLY crazy. Believe me, if it dosen't have any discounts we will be moving on to another resort. That price is outrageous!

its not much, but its a start. code CIE for your stay at fort wilderness camp ground and cabins. rate for a cabin useing this code is $169.00, save about $100.00 a night. book your stay between 4/ 18 - 6/05 and you must book by 3/31.

I was reading that last year the codes didn't come out until April 21st... is that right?? I don't remember because we stayed dvc last spring. I guess we could be in for a long wait. My best guess would be Feb. 9th... after the current offer expires.

I just received an email for passholders and grand gatherings events so I called...no codes. But, maybe that's a good sign. Maybe not...who knows! The room only codes expire 2/9 but he said the current passholder codes don't expire till 4/17 so it might be a long wait!

Yesterday, I was making reservations for our May 2004 trip.

I had to move some dates around to find availability at the Contemporary for the room type I wanted.

The CM told me that currently 40% of all rooms at Disney were already booked for the year, the best level since 9/11.

I am not being a cynic, but this cannot be good for AP or Code discount availability for the remainder of the year?

Thoughts?
