April/May 2006 Code Watch

Just tried to login, got the "site is temporarily too busy" message. Hopefully their updating the passholder rates!

I got into pass holder site no problem. No new update on rates but I did see where they had taken some of old info off regarding F+W fest pins, stuff about discont tixs to Halloween/Christmas parties, Night of joy info etc. Nothing super exciting

I wish they would come out with the May rates already!! Price just makes it so much easier for me to decide!

Hi, Possibly interested in AP rates for April. Joan

Can you please give me the link for the AP's? I want to possibly purchase one and want to read a little about it. I read you can purchase them online? Thanks! princess:

I was on passholder site. in order to get into that area you need a voucher or Ap in your name already. You can read about Ap's on allearsnet.com and mousesavers. You can purhuse through disneyworld.com under tickets.

I'm hoping to go in May if I can get a good rate.

Have a room booked at POR 5/4- 5-14! It's only our second trip ever! This board is such a resource and I'm addicted to it! We have a AAA rate now, but after finding so much other information here, I am really hoping for an AP rate too, but bet we have a bit of a wait yet. :cat:

Still waiting and hoping some codes for the end of May come out soon.

Bump!

Can I book through AAA now, and secure their rate. . .and then if the AP rate comes out and is better change?

And if yes, How do I go about changing it?

Thanks! pixiedust:

If I'm not mistaken, you'd have to cancel one and then reserve new with the AP rate online.

I booked a AAA rate through Disney. (It was the same if I went through AAA, so I decided I'd rather not have the middle man in the way.)

The CM told me that I could call with an AP rate and that they could do it just fine. He said that, yes they do cancel the prior reservation....but they would set it up so that you wouldn't lose that room in the process.

That being said...I don't have a lot of confidence with all of the CM's. Some seem better than others. So I guess you do so at your own risk.

I think it would be best...in the event that a code comes out..to see what rooms are available before canceling your original ressie.

Good luck!

I find this interesting as I was put in a situation where I had a AAA rate room and when I called to book AP rate this was none aval at resort I was at/wanted except preferred. I ended up switiching resorts because i refused to pay 100.00 extra to be at preferred resort.

I hope something comes out soon! I don't have anything booked yet but I would rather stay onsite this time around. We are going April30-may7 (or may 6). I am hoping to get a good rate onsite otherwise we will be in a condo again!

From what I was told, you can call AAA with the code and they will change the price on your reservation at no charge, as long as you have room-only reservations. If you book a package through AAA (room and meal plan or room, meal plan & park tickets), then there is a fee to make the price change which may cancel out the most of savings from the code. I'm not sure what the fee is so if anyone knows, could you please post that info?

Still waiting for a code for last week of May. :hourglass

I just called yesterday to buy an AP and they said the rates should be coming out in the next few weeks!!! I sure hope I get a good rate!!! princess:
