April/May 2006 Code Watch

Are you referring to the lowest priced room @ Cont. in the North or South wing?:confused3 Thought rack was $279 and the Garden View was $350; LESS the $100 AP discount or $179+ and $250+.

Did I miss something or is there another room type @ the North/South wings?

Maybe I didn't word it correctly. We have a CR wing room with a garden view which in regular season is $325 rack rate. The lowest rack rate is on a CR wing room w/standard view and that is $279. With an AP disc. our garden view room is now rack rate of $225 but with tax it is $250.80(according to the CM this morning) I originally wanted a standard view but they were all booked so I had to go up to garden view. We booked back in June '05 to make sure we would get a room at our first choice resort. I am actually going to try later today or tomorrow to see if some standard rooms have opened up to see if I can get a cheaper rate but if it doesn't happen I am OK with the rate I have. :goodvibes Even after paying for the upgraded AP I will still save over $125 more than my previous AAA rate ressie. I don't know the exact $ saved but it is at least $125.

PS--There is also a Garden Wing Room category w/rack rate of $360. I think that is like a Deluxe room(bigger than reg room but not a suite)

I'm so mad!!! I've had my room booked for 05/03-05/09 at All Star Movies since early October, and I heard about the Disney Visa promo and was excited because I've never gotten to go to the waterparks or Disneyquest and I knew my son would love it. Can't really afford to add anything on so this was perfect. Anyways, I knew that it said that it started on 02/23 so I thought I had time. But then I read on the boards that they were already giving it to people so I called and the CM said that the # of promos for All Star Movies was already filled up and I couldn't have it applied. That is not fair!!! Why do they say that it starts on a certain day if they give it earlier???

I will tell you in my experiences getting any special rate at ASMO is a hard thing to get. It is a popular resort in it's own right and disney can book rooms there without discount. Did you ask about staying at ASMu or sports instead? You can still vist movies, I have been known to hoof it to Asmu or sports on more than 1 occasion.

I am going May 3-7 with my dbf for her birthday. She is a FL resident and AP holder, so I asked her to call. We were open to just about any resort.

She just called me and told me the cm told her the ONLY resort with rooms still available at the AP rate was CBR, which is not my favorite resort.

I told her to call back and try another cm.

Anyone else hearing all resorts are sold out of this rate already? Is that possible???

Thanks for posting, I get so confused w/Cont. room classifications. congrats on your great rate...hope you get the room you want.

We are also at ASMo 5/3-5/8, I couldn't get the Visa deal either. If we would have moved to ASMu we would've saved $10/night. This is because we were doing only park hoppers, not plusses. I decided against moving from ASMo. I don't think that Movies was ever part of the Visa deal. WL also was not available.

UPDATE:

She called again and the next cm told her other resorts were available. We're booked for Pop Century at $74/night. :cool1:

I have been trying to keep up with this thread, but I haven't done a very good job of it :worried: so this may be old news. I just got an email (I mean like at 6:15pm this evening) nad it had a code for AP holders rate through June 6. :thumbsup2 I called and she quoted me $300 even a night with tax and all for the Polynesian garden view for 5/19 and5/20. I thought this sounded good? :confused3 I got Caribbean Beach for $132.50 per night tax and all for a standard room. Not sure if this is old news or if the rates are any better than AAA. I would love to hear what you all have to say. ;)

Has anyone else received an absolutely ridiculous cheap rate? I mean, super super cheap? I got this insanely cheap quote and I even called back 3 times to make sure I got the same answer. I did! Do you think they have a computer problem because they quoted me $1439.44 at the Wilderness Lodge! For 11 nights! This was by 3 different CM's? Not that I'm complaining, but what's going on? LoL.

Seems on the low side.
Did you check that it's the correct number of nights?
That's my only suggestion. And, go play the lottery

I have! I'm still in disbelief. I would even hang up and call back and verify the dates, and everything. I'm in total shock!

Like I said, go play the lottery ;)
It's a deal though that's for sure from what I've figured.

I just checked the Mouse for Less website and they have the code posted for the ticket upgrade (Park Hopper/Water Park Fun and More) that was inadvertently (I assume) posted early on the Travel Impressions website. The code is YVG. The Mouse for Less said it was for Packages with basic Magic Your Way or Magic Your Way with Dining. Don't they ususally have two separate codes though (one with dining and one without)? Anyway try calling with this code, maybe their will be some availability with it.

You must have gotten the CM I got yesterday. I asked about AP's got a nasty NO and then asked if she could make some ADR's and she said she would this one time but I really need to call.....blah blah blah....I got a great CM this morning.

Maybe I'll see you at Pop. I'll be there 5/19 to 5/23 celebrating DD's 7th birthday. I requested 50's Tramp, lake view, top floor-how about you? I'm so excited to try Pop for the first time. :cool1:

You're going to love POP. But, I forgot to make my particular room requests yesterday!!!! Completely forgot in the heat of the moment...and the attitude of the CM didn't help. Guess I'll be calling back later today...I would love a higher floor, facing the lake, non-smoking. How could I have forgotten that...what an idiot. Hope your trip is terrific.

code YVG for public code...trying to use it now. I'VE BEEN ON HOLD FOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the maximum nights for a single AP reservation was 10 nights? Maybe you are only booked for 10 nights.

I did it! I called as soon as reservations opened and modified our reservation adding on the free Park Hopper/Water Park Fun and More! Thank you, Thank you to every poster on this site. I've been lurking for the last month and a half. I would never have known about the upgrade if someone here (I can't remember who at the moment) hadn't found that Travel Impressions site. When I made my original reservations two weeks ago I didn't add the PH/WPFaM knowing that if I was lucky I might be able to get it for free. Again Thank you, thank you, thank you!

just checked the disney website & it says code YVI not YVG. not sure what this means yet.

Been on hold for 30 minutes this morning, am getting cranky because I have to leave for work in a few minutes. lol :rotfl2:
