April/May 2006 Code Watch

Well, I voted for Sierra...and now I can sit back and join the obsessive AP watch... :surfweb:

I know we've been talking about this but has Disney ever duplicated a promotion? Especially back to back?

I agree that they haven't duplicated a deal, but then I keep thinking of the email from Travel Impressions. They did not tell me that it was an error or that I wasn't able to book that deal, they just said that it wouldn't be available until 2/23. It could be a way for Disney to offer something that they can call a "special deal" that really doesn't cost them too much (like free dining, for example). Who knows? :confused3

I have been racking my pea brain trying to figure out "who is Sierra and where are you guys voting?" I finally read the bottom of cstraub's thread...DUH.. Okay so I am a little slow on the take sometimes. It's ok, I was born a blond(even though now its from a bottle). And no...I don't mean :drinking: Good news...I voted for Sierra. Bad news...no news on AP codes. :badpc:

Thanks for the vote! Thanks for the good news! Hope we get more good news about AP codes soon! I'll be pulling my blond from a bottle hair all out if codes don't come out soon!

I was really hoping tonight would be the night. Like I said earlier, maybe it's just the warm weather that has me feeling spring in the air.

Has Disney ever given a "free upgrade" to a MYW package?? I just booked the MYW w/dining. May they come up with a "free dining" add on or the MYW PRemium package?? Thanks for any info!! :scratchin

I called again just now....and got the heavy call volume message and thought - yeah this is it....no luck.
This CM said end of Feb, beg of March....:(

do you guys think it will be just an AP code or a public code. Also does anyone know the FL resident price for May4-7 w/Dining tower @ the Contemporary? I cant get to a phone right now, and the wdw site isnt working for me.

So what is the phone # for ap holders anyhow? I know I have it around here with different Disney numbers but I haven't labeled what is what. (The number needed to get resort reservations)

I have made reservations for April and August but STILL hoping I can do better. :)

When you guys call, do you just ask, "Hi there. Is there a code today?"

Sorry for the dumb question. Never used a code before. Would LOVE to stay On Property for family trip (including son's 5th B-day) in Mid May.

Thanks.

I just ask if there are any AP or FL codes for May...

and for the poster who asked about FL codes for May, there is nothing out yet.

Is their a special phone number for AP holders? I purchased an AP(well, an exchange certificate) from the Disney Store yesterday. I don't see any phone#'s on it or the receipt. Should there be one?

Nevermind, I found it on the Passholders site. Now this is a 407#, is their any benefit to using this over the 800#. I would rather not make a long distance call but if I can get someone on the line quicker, why not? Which # is better?

Could you post the 800 number again. I can't seem to find it. (Edited to add) My understanding is that all the numbers are basically the same. You can call the 800 or non AP number and still get the AP code. My guess is that the AP number is just a courtesy for AP holders-maybe shorter wait time?

For those who want to know about asking for codes...I go above and beyond when I call and ask if there are any available discount codes, public, AP or otherwise. I also ask if there are any discounts or specials for the week or month I am staying. And I ask if there are any discounts connected to my name. This was a suggestion in the unofficial dis guide. It hasn't worked yet but you never know.

Perhaps the CMs will go on strike for us until the codes come out. They must be going nuts there.

Here's to hoping they come out soon!
