April/May 2005 - Better late than never report - Day 11

No Typhoon Lagoon today either due to the rain so after some breakfast in the room we headed over to MGM by boat.

We got a fast Pass for Lights Motor Action and then went in for the first show of Who wants to be a millionaire. We traded pins with one of the CM cleaning up and he traded us a Cast Member Exclusive so I was happy. We popped over to Starring Rolls and picked up some OJ and then walked over to Lights Motor Action we had to get a good seat as Alan wanted to take lots of piccies.

We left MGM and walked back to the Boardwalk, dropped some stuff off and then caught the boat over to the Y and B Club to have some lunch at Beaches and Cream. We had burgers and pudding was delicious Alan had strawberry shortcake and I had a Banana Split big enough for a few friends to dig in.

We went out to get the bus from here to Animal Kingdom and just when we got out to the bus stop it absolutely poured down with rain. We got to Animal Kingdom just in time for Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade after this we did Festival of the Lion King. What a great show! The park then closed and we picked up our EMH bracelet and did a bit of shopping, we brought more pins and a special 50th Mickey Ears pin which sold out that day. Our last ride here was It is Tough to be a Bug another great show and I always get caught out.

We caught the bus from here to Saratoga Springs Resort, the new DVC resort.

We had a look around the open house and the rooms looked lovely, it is a big resort and the rooms around the main area appealed to us. We had a peak in the shop and at the pool and then walked through to catch the boat to Downtown Disney. We went to Disney Quest and Alan had a slice of cheesecake and we had a quick go on the internet before catching the bus back to the boardwalk,
